I need to take the day off.  Because of my bad vision, I misjudged the best angle to return to the sidewalk from the crosswalk on the way to PT yesterday.  My chair dipped, bucked, almost threw me out, and folded George underneath, straining my knee.  At PT, I tried to do some exercises, but the pain became too intense.  I spent the rest of the PT session with ice in the knee.  Today promises to be a hot, muggy day, and I just need to take a day to heal and recharge my batteries.  Hugs to all!!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:05 (average 4:29).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. Oh, No!!! I'm so sorry to read of your scary incident(s).
Absolutely,…. refresh, relax, rest and rest some more.
Hope that you mend, but carefully too.
Healing thoughts to you, do Take ALL the time you need, Tom. Take care!!!

  2. Sorry to hear of yet another malady.

But you get to feeling better fast.  BUT take however long you need to recuperate – you know we’ll be here waiting.

  3. 4:30  Watch out for that beak.

I gasped reading this – the same gasp I gasp when I fall or almost fall.  This was both scary and injurious – but may I say how glad I am that you did not get thrown out of the wheelchair?  Please, do rest, take it easy, and, as Nameless says, we'll be here.

  4. There is an art to doing nothing….relax as best you can and try to stay cool.  Sending hugs!

  5. Take the weekend off and get some much needed rest before the Demo Convention convenes.

Too much "bad" excitments and viewings from the RNC's convention got us all worn out with their inane rantings.

    lol. Hugzzz…

  6. 3:07  TomCat gets the bird!

    • 2:54  No Jerry, he does not!  I set the bird free!  No goshawk fricassée tonight.

      Cartoon — AMEN!!!!!

TC, there is a creme, fisiocrem, that I have found works well for muscle and joint pain.  I use it on my bad knee and it has made a difference in my walking comfort.  I learned about it from my physiotherapist.  He uses it in his practice.  It is a natural product with arnica and other herbal ingredients.  It might help with your hands, although do not use it on stumpy as this was broken skin, and stumpy needs to toughen up not soften up.  Take a look at http://www.fisiocrem.com.

Your dance with the crosswalk was not a good move, not that you wished it.  Hope things are going better now.  Take a few days if you need to.  Your health and comfort come first!

  7. Please take extra care of yourself, TC, even if it takes a week.  Lynn, Joanne, and Nameless will keep PP going for you til you get back.  We need you to keep enlightening us.

    Cartoon< so very true.

  8. Oh, you poor thing. All these mishaps due to bad eyesight and lack of good depth vision. And you feeling poorly as it is, TomCat. Please take all the rest you need and avoid any further stress, i.e. avoid reading up on Republican "mishaps". Sad as it is, they'll still be there when you come back rested and recharged.

    Excellent cartoon.

  9. Thanks all.  The knee is still sore, but functioning.  Now that I know that crosswalk's dangers, I won't do that again.

    Hugs!!

  10. More, Damn!

If the puzzle was about Goshawks, and anyone is interested in them enough to read a marvelous book check out "H is for Hawk," by the NYTimes nature writer, Helen MacDonald!
