Almost every week, Republicans join a competition to see who can say the most outlandish things, and in the process, they push the envelope on just how vile InsaniTEA can become.  I trust that you will believe it, when I tell you that last week was no exception.

Lord of Darkness endorses Trump.

cheney-usedcarThere’s not much of a joke here. Just an all-over skin crawl coupled with an all-over shudder and sickening gut twist. Dick Cheney has endorsed Trump. That’s all. In doing so, the Iraq-war architect has broken rank with other prominent Republicans like the entire Bush clan, John McCain, Lindsey Graham and Mitt Romney. Not to mention House Speaker Paul Ryan who has so far just said no to Trump. We can only assume that Cheney just really wants to go to the GOP convention in Cleveland this summer. Perhaps the Darth Vader admirer’s dancecard [sic]is coming up empty these days.

Cheney said he would back Trump, despite earlier saying that Trump sounded too much “like a liberal Democrat,” when he criticized the decision to invade Iraq and said the Bush administration lied about the existence of weapons of mass destruction. Trump did not sound like a liberal Democrat when he stated this fact. He sounded like a man in the throes of a rare moment of lucidity.

But now, Cheney doesn’t care about that. Or he does not remember it, and as long as his artificial heart keeps ticking, he’s jumping on board the Trump carnival caravan. Woo hoo!…

ChickenHawk Cheney is a war criminal and needs a trip to The Hague.  This is the second of five listed vile moments from last week alone.  Click through for the other four.

  1. Congrats to Sam Bee for nailing the taco bowl tweet.

    1.  It's clear that Trump can't see any reason for winning an election other than "being something" – being a woman, being Native American.  No, Donald, Elizabeth's  "career" is not based on a lie.  It's based on a platform.  YOu might consider having one sometime.  Or, on second thought, not.

    2.  An endorsement from Darth Vader.  Golly gee.

    3.  They and even this columnist are missing what I think I found most repulsive about the tweet.  A billionaire business man is welcome to use his public persona to sell something he owns.  A president – or a presidential candidate – not so much.  I believe that's called a "conflict of interest."

    4.  The only cash lost by Planned Parenthood over fake videos has been that spent to spread the truth (since lies apparently get the spreading done for free), and that taken away by Moronderthal state legislatures who believe the lies anyway.  I might note this is another "ad hominem" thrust – assume that transgendered people or evil, and then call your enemy evil by association.  Wrong.

    5.  The only way Donald Drumpf will "tack to the center" is to double down on some of his stances, and do a complete turnaround on others so that he wll still be extreme, just in the other direction.  You can already see it starting.  He spoke favorably of a minumum wage increase last week.  But Drumpf's persona is extreme extremity, and he will not give that up.  It'll make him different, all right.

  2. AN: Come to Texas and say that, Dump. Sam Bee — B.O.O.M.!

Love Ms. Warren and all that she stands for, uh…Trump..?? zero, zilch, nada..lol.

Cheney was creepy years ago, and he's still creepy now.

Ugh!! But that's Fake news for anyone listening.

Pierson commenting about Ryan, "we were told to hold our noses and vote for the sake of the party." what a ride it's going to be re: Repug endorsement of Trump. I want to get far away.

    Thanks, Tom.

  3. …also heard he said today that taxes on the rich might need to increase…

  4. Not sure if the Devil has a Doppelganger.  But when Boehner referred to Ted Cruz as “Lucifer in the Flesh” I thought …

Wait a second – Cheney has that role already wrapped up!

  5. I read this article yesterday thinking '4 out of 5 dentists recommend…" only it was more like "4 out of 5 articles are about Trump"!  Arrggghhhh!!!!!

    1.  I was always told that intelligent people have no need to stoop to silly words like "goofy".  The only thing smaller than Drumpf's hands is his IQ.

    2.  Drumpf and Cheney deserve eachother.  I can't think that Cheney's endorsement will boost Drumpf at all.

    3.  Bill O'Lielly, another irrelevant bigot like Drumpf!

    4.  Faux Noise is just that . . . trés faux!  Will somebody please pull its broadcast license!

    5.  Could this vacant brained idiot please explain how far to the right a person must be to be called conservative!

    • I heard this evening that Drumpf and Lyin' Ryan have a meeting tomorrow.  If it's true, I'd love to be a fly on the wall to see the dancing and fireworks.

  6. An endorsement from Dick Cheney….isn't that kind of like Satan saying he'll keep you nice and warm?

  7. 1. You've got to be kidding, Drumpf will now try to start a twitter feud with anyone with a certain number of followers who call out against him? He's got his work cut out for him then. From the classy twitters he sends it's all too obvious he doesn't trust any one else with the job, so there will be a lot of "great deals"he's going to miss out on making because he's too busy tweeting. His business opponents are having a field day while he's ruining his thumbs. His tweets are so pathetic  that Elizabeth warren never even bothered to respond to his innuendos but continued to flame him with style.

    2. Even Drumpf would know that an endorsement from Cheney amounts to being tripped at the top of the stairs and you're on your way down. Poor old Cheney, he so misses the limelight so much he's willing to sell his little GOP soul to get some attention without realizing Drumpf soaks up all that light, leaving nothing for old sell-outs like him.

    3. Both O'Reilly and Drumpf are so dense they just can't understand why Mexicans and other Latinos are only more infuriated by Drumpf's pandering and his grotesque talking down to them in the firm belief Latinos are just to stupid to see it for what it is.
Keep it up, Drumpf, only more Mexicans will register as Democrats and go vote. Your wannabe BFF O'Reilly doesn't help Democrats much, but doesn't hurt you much either because I don't think too many Latino's watch Faux News and even less watch his show.

    4. Don't you have defamation laws in America. If media (keep) slander(ing) someone when that slander has been debunked in court, they are forced to pay (increasing) hefty fines here. Having to look for new sources of income after they stopped "selling baby body parts for money" and not getting much extra from helping “transgender patients with sex changes” as they've been doing that for more than 50 years, Planned Parenthood could really do with the fines Faux News have to cough up if they're sued for defamation, right? 😉 😉

    5. Uhhh…Paul Ryan isn't fit as speaker of the House because… McCain and Romney weren't real conservatives either? You lost me there, Katrina. No, I can't tell a lie, you never had me.

  8. The way this election is going, Cheney's endorsement may help Trump. Those who support him also support bigotry and xenophobia.  Cheney is good at both

  9. Thanks all.  Hugs!!
