When I’m wrong, I say so. Back at the beginning of the Clown Car Destruction Derby, otherwise known as the Republican Presidential race, I said that Hell would freeze over, before Trump won the Republican Nomination. Last night Cruz discovered that the batteries in his TRUS were dead, and he decided that,without the prostate stimulation it provided,,he could not go on. He suspended his campaign. Next Reince Priebus declared that Trump is the presumptive nominee, and that the Republican Party will fall in behind him. Then KKKsich suspended his campaign. How could I have been so wrong?
After Donald Trump became the presumptive Republican presidential nominee with a victory in Tuesday night’s Indiana primary, Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus tried his best to rally the party behind Trump.
During a Wednesday morning interview on CNN’s "New Day," co-host Alisyn Camerota asked Priebus, "Did you ever think this is where you would be this morning?"
"You know, I didn’t, but I don’t think that’s necessarily bad. You know what? I think something different and something new is probably good for our party," he replied. "And look, I don’t think anyone predicted what happened. So look, we’re here. We’re going to get behind the presumptive nominee."
Priebus has spoken with Trump over the phone, but would not reveal much about his conversation with the candidate on CNN. But the RNC chair indicated that Trump will have to align himself with the Republican party platform…

The only way to stop him from getting the nomination now is for the Party to change the convention rules to release pledged delegates in the fist round and install an establishment Republican, but I don’t see that happening. To do so would disenfranchise their base of hate mongers. Their response would be armed revolt. The Republican Party fears the monster they created.
So all I can do now is admit I was wrong and change his name to something more befitting a presumptive Republican Presidential Nominee. Instead of Fecal Dump Trump. he is now Rump Dump Trump.

I tend to agree with Vivian. Drumpf's ego is so massive and he is so accustomed to calling all the shots that he won't want to bow to the party.
My guess is that the next roughly 2 months wiill be chaos for Republicans, although some of the chaos may be behind the scenes. If Drumpf decides to go independent, that will be the end of the GOP as we know it now.
This is definitely a cluster, and bad at that!!! I ill thinking about it.
Both names for Drumpf are good, but Rump Dump Trump is the way to go!!!

Oh, I think you have to go with Rump Dump Trump. I don't think most Republicans have enough education to understand the word "fecal."
Priebus may get behind him, but I have my doubts about other Republicans. Some have already declared open rebellion, for various reason and non-reasons. And he may say he is going to get with the party platform, but the thing is, he says anything – ANYTHING – that comes into his head. It would be a piecrust promise – made to be broken.
So many different things COULD happen I think we just have to wait and see (or, in my hubby's phrase, "hide and watch.")

What a fascinating display of ego we are about to see! I just hope that Hillary does not do the kind of discounting, eye-rolling sneer at Dumpy, in the upcoming debates, that may have cost Al Gore the election with imbecile Bush.
If our country was not at risk, I would find this humorous. The Repugs are scrambling and don't know how to handle this development, he will definitely not follow the rules. We need to work as hard as we can to have a Blue candidate win the Nov. election.
I agree, TomCat, the GOP establishment will not dare to take the nomination away from Drumpf at their convention as he's backed by the craziest and most ammosexual group of people within the borders of the US. They didn't think their monster would win until it was too late and they won't make the mistake of putting a match to the keg of powder that is called Republican National Convention, knowing it will blow up in their faces with terrible violence.
No, the GOP will disintegrate further with many of them, like Reince Priebus, closing their eyes and ears very tightly and goose step right behind Herr Drumpf in the hope they can hang on to their offices and their power when he's in the oval office, or starting to sabotage Drumpf's campaign very quietly in the hope he'll lose the election without them falling by the wayside too. And a tiny portion may just defect, if they have not done so already. But as most of them are greedy opportunists, most will just "change their minds" or, as usual, simply deny they ever rebelled against Drumpf and happily tag along.
