  1. North Pole – So – you mean – if this had happened a hundred or so year sooner – that Winnie-the-Pooh's and Christopher Robin's expotition might have found the real thing?  I'll bet it's heading straight for the Hundred Acre Wood, isn't it?

Time – Bookmarked this.  This would explain a lot.  Particularly since the most dangerous discrepancies seem to be on the level of seconds.  (I know whether I go out with my white BFF or my black BFF, it's two hours later when it seems like a half hour at most, just the same with both LOL.)

Bananas – Absolutely gorgeous.  Way out of my price range, alas.  I hope those who can will jump on them.

Octopodes – Maybe they are ALREADY in charge.  Cthulhu was said to be such that just looking at him would drive a human insane, and if so, I don't find it a stretch that all of the Republican party leadership has seen him at least once.

  2. Thanks Judi,  Exhaustewd hugs!!

  3. This PROVES that octopuses/octopodes are smarter than virtually ALL republicans.

  4. Kudos to the grass root women groups and international women aid groups who focused on women in Nepal particularly as they were the group most seriously affected by the earthquake but also the group the country depends on the most to rebuild it. The (male) government has done little to nothing to help the population living outside the capital city.

Kudos too to Destiny Watfort and her fellow students in Baltimore. I hope more and more people follow their lead and organise themselves in grass-root activist groups and fight the establishment tooth and nail, because the powers that be don't give a s%$t about the poor. Granting a company to build the nation's largest incinerator, burning trash, to a town with already has the nation's highest rate of air pollution related deaths (50% of all deaths in the community there are avoidable) is a crime for which the state should be held accountable.

Hmmmm. Even the North Pole doesn't want to end up in North-America any more 😉 This may also explain the terrible cold spring we're having. 🙁

The odd relationship between racism and the perception of time is called a spurious correlation which is the official name for a perceived relationship that isn't there but caused by another factor entirely. The doubtful relationship found certainly doesn't warrant the very exaggerated examples to give cause for alarm.

Where can I get me a banana leaf bag?!

Doing some research on voting systems, the low ranking of America in Fair Elections comes as no surprise, but the low ranking on Press Freedom does, perhaps because a lot of it, like the war on whistle blowers and the lack of transparency, is kept quiet.

I sure hope California's price control referendum doesn't go the way of GM labeling in other states, where Monsanto and their ilk tipped the scale their way with million dollar campaigns.

Octopuses not only have more brain power than the average Republican, they also have three hearts, which is three more than the average Republican!

    • Where can I get me a banana leaf bag?!

I was king of curious that they didn't include any links to a commercial site, which I thought probably meant that she makes so few as a solo person that it'd be hard to meet demand.

… BUT I did a bit of Googling, and from the site learned that Songa Designs International is who "discovered" her.  They have a site featuring products from such artisans – BUT it looks like you can only get a "FREE" banana-leaf clutch IF you become a bi-annual subscription member:

      https://songadesigns.com/shop/accessories-club/

… BUT I also saw that she formed her own Twiyubake Banana Leaf Cooperative – which led to this site:

      https://indegoafrica.org/blog/makersmonth-the-beauty-of-banana-leaf

… And this page of products:

      http://shop.indegoafrica.org/collections/banana-leaf

… BUT you can't tell who made it.  (And someone is probably making a pretty hefty profit – the question is "Who?")

      • Thanks for all the links, Nameless. I'll go and see if those products are available here too. Thanks again.

      • I found Songa Designs from a link in the article, and followed it, but learned that Jacqueline's bags won't be available till later this year.  I did look at products that are available now, which was how I learned about the pricing.
