Yesterday I felt so tired that I actually fell asleep in my power chair at the medical building, while waiting for the LIFT bus.  However I did make my first four successful transfers, using a quad cane, away from home: to and from the examining couch, and to and from a toilet.  Today, Jeannie, (shower-aide) has come and gone, and Arvilla (PT) is due in thirty minutes.  I feel very tired, and I want to get some rest, as the NH returns are tonight.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 2:54 (average 4:31).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Woooo Hoooo!!!!

Short Takes:

From Daily Kos: Hurricane Sandy opportunist and all-around overgrown bully Governor Chris Christie has been sitting on a bill that would cut out citizens from the decision process concerning whether or not their drinking water is privatized. Wait no longer, New Jersey. Yesterday, the Garden State’s AWOL governor signed the ironically named “Water Infrastructure Protection Act”—the irony is that it protects water from the people who drink it but not from being obliterated by private interests and the one percent’s whims.

Knowing PIGnocchio, NJ folks are likely to get their drinking water pumped direct from the Atlantic Ocean, New York Harbor, or worse.

From The New Yorker: The former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is hoping to jump-start his lagging Presidential campaign with a new television ad featuring the worst President in U.S. history, campaign aides confirm.

With the crucial New Hampshire primary just hours away, the Bush campaign believes it can finish strong by reminding voters of Jeb’s connection to a man who left the nation in smoldering ruins.

In the ad, which Bush aides are calling “a fantastic closing argument,” Jeb’s ability to keep the United States safe and create peace around the world is praised by the President, whose decisions helped destabilize the Middle East and give rise to ISIS.

Across the state, the ad featuring the worst President in U.S. history is making a powerful impression on voters.

Andy isn’t kidding!! Here’s the ad!

Double Bush Barf Bag Alert!!

Crawford Caligula also brought us 9/11!  Strike Three is soooo toast!!

From NY Times: The former New Hampshire governor John Sununu once said that “Iowa picks corn and New Hampshire picks presidents.”

This year, New Hampshire may not live up to the billing — but it should nonetheless play a big role.

If the polls are anywhere near right Tuesday, Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders will win the state, perhaps in landslides. Yet neither seems especially likely to win the nomination.

This is not to diminish the appeal of Mr. Sanders or Mr. Trump. Last summer, few could have predicted that they would be leading in every New Hampshire poll by at least seven percentage points during the final week of the race.

Go, Bernie, Go! Stop, Hairball, Stop!

In today’s Republican Party, he would be classified as moderate.

  1. 3:34  Intersting he's alone.  Butterflies run to male drinking clubs.

    HalleluOrb!

DKos – Not the Atlantic Ocean yet – it's not polluted enough to release lead from pipes.  But he'll come up with something, I'm sure.

New Yorker – Mind boggling.  On so many levels.

NY Times – Fascinating that the first candidate in decades to have a platform based on FDR's wildly successful New Deal is being dismissed as "unrealistic."  Oh, well, we eill see.

Cartoon – Teabuggery without even any tea.  Barf.

  2. DK: Christie's a mess. A BIG mess. Bridgegate and now this. Doesn't surprise me though.

    NYer: No. Nope!

    NYT: Yea, Bernie!!!

Broncos did Great!!! You've had a very busy day. Hope that you get some rest before this evening. Thanks, Tom.

  3. DK: I have warned you all about the Jrsey Buffoon previously!  Being from Jersey, I get a front row seat at the BS throwing!

Oh, yes, he knows Jeb, just like he knew that Putin had a "good soul!" I frequently recall the line from a "Who" song, about praying that "…we don't get fooled again."  I believe they were refering to LBJ's lie about the Tonkin Gulf attack, that got us REALY into the Vietnam War.  Well, are the sheep going to get fooled by Georgie yet again?  Part of me hopes this ad gets play all over the place, and backfires in spades!

Today Joe "Have you got no decency?" McCarthy would indeed look like a moderate, compared to the crazies on the right.  For wht it's worth, both Nixon and JFK worked as aides for Joe Alcoholic!

  4. Oh! What a wonderful GAME!!! It Had EVERYTHING!! Touchdowns that were so good, I had to watch them twice! Fixing to watch it a third time, soon! It was fanfriggentastic to watch The Great Peyton work his magic and the defense was THE BOMB!!! That defense was THE BEST I have ever seen!!! LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!

Andy's piece today was just to spot on!! The GREAT Destructer will be something that JEB! will regret putting in his ads!! The people will have a good link to what his destructive president brother did to this country!!

Glad you are having successes with your therapy and outside the home! Good job, TomCat!!!

  5. Congratulations on a successful trip, but I still think the podiatrist owes you a discount.

Daily Kos:  Maybe Christie should be talking to Snyder in Michigan before he does anything else to the water supply.

The New Yorker:  Now Jeb has proven how dumb he is.  I did not watch the video, had enough of him when he was in office.

Cartoon:  And he was so proud of himself!

NY Times:  You were right, Trump and Sanders won. I love how much Bernie is winning, but he doesn't have the PACs to support him.

  6. 2:34  Pretty flutterby!  No flutterby fricassée today Puddy Tat!

  7. Puzzle — 2:34  Pretty flutterby!  No flutterby fricassée today Puddy Tat!

I said you'd be insufferable after that Super Bowl win and I was right!

Daily Kos — Pignocchio indeed!  He's after the pork barrel, but he'll soon be part of it when voters get ahold of him!

The New Yorker — "…experience and judgement count …"  Hmmm, using dumb ass Baby Bush, the worst president, doesn't say anything positive about Jebby's judgement.  Andy's doing straight reporting again!

NY Times — It is interesting to watch the headlines like this from Huffington Post:

    "WTF GOP
Racist, Sexist, Xenophobic Demagogue Wins NH…

LIVE RESULTS: KASICH 2nd… RUBIO 5th?…
Exit Poll: 66% Of GOP Primary Voters Support Banning Muslims From Entering U.S…. *No Prez Has Won A Contested NH Primary In 28 Years… Christie Going Home…'The GOP Establishment Took Far Too Long To Stop Trump, And Its Efforts Now Look Like A Catastrophe'…'

Not one mention of the Democratic contest.  No mention of Bernie's victory in New Hampshire.  The media is still ignoring him!  It is time to kick some media ass!

Cartoon — Another Republican who knew how to use fear tactics.

  8. It has tired you out terribly, TomCat, and that feeling must have been heightened by neither getting a discount nor a polish of George at the podiatrist, but you now have four successful transfers to show for it, so congratulations and applause.

Daily Kos: This lust for privatization should never be allowed to touch upon such basic services and commodities necessary for survival as drinking water. It isn't even safe in the hands of Republican state officials so imagine what private companies will do to make a fast buck! End it  now.
By the way: I doubt this will ever come up in a GOP debate to undermine Christie's position, if that would be necessary at all. Every one of these candidates would do exactly the same given half a chance.

The New Yorker: What is America coming to?!?! A The heir of a dynasty of terrible presidents has pathetically ask the worst of them to help in out in an ad which apparently helped and made him come in fourth with 11,1 percent of the Republican votes. But worst of all, Andy is now really gone from satire to standard journalism. What next?

NY Times: “Iowa picks corn and New Hampshire picks presidents.” Welcome your new president, Bernie Sanders with 60% of the Democratic caucus (38,4% for Hillary Clinton). Forget about Trump with only 35,1% of the GOP votes.

Cartoon: And some trend he started…

  9. re. the recent debate(repug  garbage.

Mr Rubio said (times three) much to  Bully boy(Christie ,s chagrin) that he knows what president Obama is "UP TO" Help us out Marco. Give us a clue, why no details.?? Could it be that you know of ANY? In a large crowd of repugs, no one, especially Mr Rubio, has a clue. If you think that Mr Rubio is whistling in the wind, You should hear his views on Global warming/climate change!. Wow!. Science never crossed his path. Fit to be president? I THINK NOT,He hit panic time . , America needs a grown up in the White House. Please go back home to CUBA, and enjoy the cigars.

  10. Thanks all!  Hugs!!  I'm pooped!!

  11. I found it interesting that the governors other than Christie nailed 2-5th place in NH…and am not sad that Carly ended her campaign.
