  1. TC: No Internet Service… Oh, the Horror! is no longer… TC is back!

Wounded Knee is an American Shame as were many other Indian massacres throughout US History.

  2. Cartoon: Horrible. Just Horrible!!  Wounded Knee is one of many.  Historians refer to Wounded Knee as a battle, the Sioux had already laid down their weapons as requested by the soldiers. They were outnumbered and unarmed for the most part, and they were forlorn and defeated, having been forced off their land. At the end of the massacre, there were 146 Sioux deaths, including dozens of women and children.

Sorry to read about your mishap with the desk installer crashing your connection. I would find that irritating.

Well, off to the movies. Take good care, TC, have a great evening.

p.s. The Broncos came through, what a game!! WooHoo for your team.

  3. No INTERNET connection!!! I would be irate! My ISP gets my wrath when it goes out here! And it does, OFTEN! I hate using data on my phone cause my son EATS data! He uses all the data for our phones. I use Wi-Fi for my phone, the only computer I have.

Wounded Knee. What a catastrophic failure for the US!!! Just embarrassing that they killed THEM!!! Makes that part of me that is Native BOIL!!

Glad you got your internet back! We got a big game this week!!! I am making changes ALL the time!

  4. Glad you are back.  I have been missing, too, because my son and his family were here from Mississippi.

  5. Glad you were able to get back up and running!  I was going to post the puzzle until I saw your update!

Puzzle — 3:22  While in France, I would go to the open air market to get veggies, fruit, and meat from the charcuterie, then stop at the boulangerie for a baguette of bread, and then buy a bottle of wine . . . all for my lunch. What a delicious repas.  My travel mates mostly ate at the hotel dining room.  Their loss!

Cartoon — Every time I am reminded of Wounded Knee, my heart aches and breaks.  This was genocide and should be seen in that light.  In North America, both of our countries are guilty of genocide towards aboriginal peoples and it must STOP!

  6. 4:18  Can't eat baguettes anyway – whoever can, enjoy.

I am so behind if I run too fasr I may catch Republican proctocephaly.  Hence the foot-dragging.

Cartoon – What gets into people that makes them think for a single nanosecond that this kind of thing is acceptable?  I truly do not get it.

  7. You're not related to Murphy, are you, TomCat? You really should stop inviting him all the time, you know what havoc he will wreak. I hope you're desk is all right now though, all fitted to your specifications and everything in and on it where it should be.

Cartoon: Wounded Knee is of course only one event in a long line of such unforgivable cruelties, but as none of these get much attention outside of the Native American community, this terrible slaughter should be nationally commemorated.

  8. Thanks all!  Without my Internet, I feel nekkid!

  9. The word is GENOCIDE. Most "Americans",(eg. immigrants" neither know NOR care! After all they have NO compassion for Refugees. Who needs more foreigners? Obviously cannot see themselves as others do?

Hope that you are soon up and running. All the best.

  10. I'm so glad you got your internet back! πŸ™‚ I can barely stand one day without mine!

I still have my copy of Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee..which also tells some things about the Sand Creek Massacre & all those old people & children killed..:(
