Though the details of Robert Lewis Dear’s motives for killing three people in the clinic and injuring nine others are still being revealed, Dear reportedly told law enforcement “no more baby parts,” an apparent reference to heavily edited videos produced by the Center for Medical Progress, which numerous politicians have cited to falsely claim that Planned Parenthood sells “aborted baby parts.” Dear’s actions, in other words, appear to be an act of politically motivated terrorism directed against an institution widely reviled by conservatives.
Though terrorism perpetrated by Muslims receives a disproportionate amount of attention from politicians and reporters, the reality is that right-wing extremists pose a much greater threat to people in the United States than terrorists connected to ISIS or similar organizations. As UNC Professor Charles Kurzman and Duke Professor David Schanzer explained last June in the New York Times, Islam-inspired terror attacks “accounted for 50 fatalities over the past 13 and a half years.” Meanwhile, “right-wing extremists averaged 337 attacks per year in the decade after 9/11, causing a total of 254 fatalities.”
There you have it. You are seven times more likely to be killed by a Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christian terrorist, than by a Muslim terrorist.

Carly's alternate reality was found so distant from anyone's else's reality she could get campaign donations from anyone but herself when she ran in CA–and CA is considered pretty tolerant of alternate realities. She didn't accept responsibility for the harms she did to companies she ran so no surprise she tries to pass the buck for her responsibility for falsehoods apparently believed by this suspect that also apparently violated our laws regarding terrorism.

In little over a minute Anna Kooiman tallied up my rating of 3 barf bags with her remark on "ISIS destroying culture as we know it"and her laughing about the burglar being burnt to death while stuck in a chimney. She would have gotten a 4 barf bag rating had she not, by sheer willpower, prevented herself from cheering when the home owner turned out to have lit a fire roasting him to death before calling 911.

Think Progress – I actually think my odds are a little higher than that. I live in a state which, otside the south, is one of the most gun-loving. It is also a little out of the way for Islamic terrorists, being difficult to reach from all directions. I have no statistics, but I would guess I am at least 25 times as likely to be killed by a white terrorist than a Muslim one.
AlterNet – I am a little more cautious than most people about alloting specific interpretations to laughter, having done military service in Asia and having seen, not certainly the worst results, but some results of Americans jumping to conclusions about what laughter may mean. But certainly, in out culture, where laughter is interpreted as mockery ALL the time, it was an ugly display. It was also irresponsible of Fox to put the story on a teleprompter without having allowed the reporter to prepare for it. But then, when was Fox ever responsible? Sigh.
