Here are the results of our β€œHorror Movie” poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

Since our polling site no longer enables us to copy and paste your poll comments, you may read them here.

I voted for psycho.

I posted a new poll.  Please vote.

  1. Thanks TC–I was ready for a new poll.

  2. I didn't vote, but explained why.  Twice.  So sorry for the double post.  I really thought it ate the first one.

  3. I voted for Psycho too, but lately it's "horror" seems to be overtaken by psychopaths in the real world.

    Thanks for a new poll.

  4. I agree with Lona. πŸ˜‰

  5. Sorry – I thought I took that sucker down.  It was from Halloween.

Hope you're getting ready for a new poll!

  6. I voted for "You name it." Check out the original "The Haunting," with Claire Bloom.

  7. I remember "The Hunting" with Claire Bloom and it was excellent. "Alien" – yup, a good one but more of a sci-fi film.

Alfred Hitchcock's film, Psycho, was more of a suspense story, film rather than it was a horror movie. Alfred made a lot of money with this film as it was a "shocker" and made in 1960. I also enjoyed Carrie.

For those of you who like horror-type of films, stories, there is a TV show  titled  "American Horror Story". Season 5 appears and promises to be a good one. I just got through watching the complete fourth season, "Freak Show" from the library. The "freaks" in this series are real people.

    • I forgot to add that I did think about the GOP debate as a thought. lol.

Another film I liked was An American Werewolf in London (1981).

Has the font, lettering in C2 gotten smaller, lighter grey and a change in style…?
Or am I getting older with a weaker eye sight? lol.

  8. I voted for "The Exorcist". The first time I saw this movie was in a drive-in theater and that made it all the more creepy. I have never liked horror movies since!

  9. I voted for The Shining because a person could become so deranged that he or she could murder their loved ones, and Jack Nichols terrified me in that one.

  10. Thanks all.  Don't forget to vote!!

  11. JAWS……because….it is feasible in real life. Scared the caca outta me when I saw it back in '75.
