Fear, greed, hate, sheeple, and stupid are of course factors. What led me to go for "all of the above except" is that many are stupid enough to think he's a great guy and his hair is sexy (it might also be sexy to a flannel moth caterpillar).

ASP CATERPILLARS ARE making news this week, so I thought I’d dispense some professional entomological advice: if it looks like The Donald’s hair, leave it alone.

I shared that on FB a couple of nights ago. One of those caterpillars looks exactly like his hair.

Yes those are factors but Bill also was on target when he noted the entertainment value of Trump.
The last poll wasn't one for me; I consider Trump to be no more than a glitch in the democratic process which, if not reparable, is best ignored for it to do the least harm.
The next poll I can vote on again. could you remind us again of the way we voted on it in February, TomCat? I'd be very much interested how we fared on this new one in about 5 months time.

I voted "other" because I think he is entertaining some in the REpublican party while terrfying other. I sincerely hope no one would vote for him.
Edie, to hear Trump say it, he's locked up the Hispanic vote and most of the African American vote. Fortunately, I am sure that is only in his mind! The unfortunate point is that there are too many sheeple who lick Trump's bluntness. He talks at a grade 3 level so low information voters are sure to line up behind him.
