I did not want Jon Stewart’s tenure on the Daily Show to pass without posting a tribute to mark the occasion.  I have two video clips.

The First is an interview with Rachel Maddow.

The second is his final show, in case you missed it, or you would like to view it again.  I do hope that it does not disappear from YouTube.

It disappeared.  You can see it here.

  1. Thanks TC–I hadn't seen yet.  I am somewhat surprised how many DEM individuals and organizations have emailed me to sign a thank you card for him.

    • Considering that each of them flips you to an opportinity to donate to them as soon as you sign the card, it should not be at all surprising.

  2. Jon is the best newsman on ANY NETWORK, be it radio, internet, TV, or any other kind of communication!
His timing and wit are priceless! He will be commenting on the election, you can count on that! I bet he is a frequent guest on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah! Especially with the Presidential election and all of the (gag) debates that will be broadcast to thin out the herd of Repukkklicans!!
    We will miss you, Jon!

  3. It may take a while to load, and there may be areas where people can't see it, but it is up here:

  4. Darn and darn again, none of the links here worked for me Down Under and that wasn't even due to the slow connection. I realy going to mis Jon's humorous sanity among the completely insane, his funny way of trying to restore balance to a world that is tilting too far to the right.

  5. I miss Jon already. lol. Jon's grasp and understanding of US political policies put all other news commentators to shame.

  6. Thanks for the link to the final episode, I don't have HBO so have to get them from Youtube.  He will definitely be missed.

  7. I am amazed that I could view the last episode on Comedy Central.  I didn't have to go to The Comedy Network!  I guess we aren't too polite anymore, and Obamacare has lessened the difference between our Canadian universal healthcare and American healthcare.

Jon most certainly will be missed.  I especially liked what Rachel had to say.

  8. TY TC – we will miss him so much – he has so many good qualities – to name but three – intelligence, honesty and compassionate – rare qualities in the media these days.

  9. I mean compassion, not compassionate – I'm really extra poorly!

  10. Thanks all!  Hugs!
