Here are the results of our β€œHow Many Clowns” poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are usually factually accurate, and more often than not, they reflect thinking or will of the national majority.

Our Polling Host no longer allows us to copy and paste your comments made when taking the poll.  To read them, click here.

Depending on which website you choose (there are several), you can find support for all the answers here.  I can, however, tell you how many Republicans it takes to make the Clown Car too full.  One Republican is one Republican too many.

The new poll is up.  To be truthful, I tried to think of a serious poll and brain-farted, so I fell back on humor.  Have fun with it.

  1. I went with 30-39 given the number who cannot raise funds from others (Michelle, Carly) and whose likely criminal trials should disqualify from office (Walker, Perry, Christy)

  2. I voted 20 – 29. They aren't done entering yet. The Donald just announced today.

  3. It could be anything really, it isn't finished yets, and though each new press conference to announce another Republican hopeful's intentions is one announcement too many, the more clowns that climb all over each other the better. It's amazing how much alike they are in their program, written by the Koch brothers' speech writer to appeal to the right wing fringe. Keep it up GOP, by the beginning of next year you'll have alienated every Republican with a little sanity left and driven the right wingers out of their skulls because the can't chose.

  4. I went with “even more idiots”. They have a dufuss under every rock they turn over! And the more the merrier! That spreads the base money out so they don’t have it all behind one or three people!

  5. Perry is already under an indictment he wasn't (yet) able to crush and is trying to laugh off.  Scott Walker fired the Chirf Justice of the State Supreme Court (which is probably both immoral and illegal, but with the "sheriff" gone, who can arrest him? [incidentally if it were also fattening he would look like Christie by now])  Christie – what is he doing, stalling?  Oh, Lord, speed up the wheels of justice, PLEASE.

  6. If it goes on like this, a clown car won't be nearly big enough.  We'll be looking at something more like the Hindenburg.

  7. Just to clarify a point or two… There are currently well over 300 candidates running for the 2016 Presidency. The clown car can no longer be seen. lol.

  8. I went with ten to nineteen. Wishful thinking, I guess.

  9. Like Edie, I went with 10-19.  With so many Republicanus/Teabaggerum declaring, they will be at each other's throats vying for the financial support. WWF for the politico set!  But I do agree that 1 Republicanus/Teabaggerum is 1 too many!

  10. Technically, Jim is correct.  90 Republicans have officially filed for the Clown Car.
