61-LynnSquance

Lynn has now won her tenth Big Mouth Award.  For over a year she has been our top commentator, and is also one of only two people, other than myself, that I have authorized to post articles here.  Lynn is a denizen of Care2, and is still a Canadian, unfortunately for the US.  I’ve said this before, but it still bears repeating.  If 10% of US citizens had half, or if half of US citizens had 10% of the knowledge of and insight into US politics that this Canadian gal regularly displays, our country would be far better off.  Congrats Lynn!  She is a treasure, whose contribution to this site cannot be overstated, but I am stating it again.

I have only one growing complaint.  We are still waiting for the picture of her posing with the prize she won for posting the 50,000th comment months ago.

Please join me in congratulating her, thanking her, praising her and especially harassing her to send me that picture.

  1. Kudos Lynn!

  2. So nice to be hearing about your big mouth instead of your big feet!  Congratulations and well deserved!

  3. Hey, Lynn! Where’s that picture of you with that 50,000 coment trophy?
    Anyway, congrats for the 61,000!!!!

  4. 10th BIG Mouth Award is simply just awesome. Yes, TC is correct in saying that if US voters had 1/10 of Lynn's knowledge of US politics, our country would be so much better. Yes, Lynn, do send that photo as I am curious about the blonde with purple hair or is the hair color purple with blonde hair. I've seen blue on some girls around town but not purple. I am, as are many others, eager and "harrassing" Lynn to know… lol. If Lynn wants to maintain her privacy, I can respect her anonymity. Maybe Lynn can use one of her fur-babies and color it purple. lol.

    • No Jim, it is blonde/silver gray (it's an age thing!) with a big swatch of purple in the front.  Actually I have to have my hair done again as my purple has been cut back . . . I didn't want to look like a sasquatch too much!

    • Jim, I knew it was not a privacy issue.  If it had been, that would have been the end of the discussion.

  5. I am sufficiently chastised for my tardiness on the 50,000th comment.  I actually have the pictures on my phone but I can't seem to send them anywhere.  I can assure you that the one shows my best side!  If I am feeling a bit better tomorrow (I've been down all week with a really bad head cold that has laid me out flat!), I'll stop off at the Telus Store and see if someone can show me how it is done.  If that doesn't work, I'll build on Jim's idea and pack my phone on Winnie and send him to see TC.

Thanks everybody!  I wouldn't be here if not for TC and all of you! . . . oh and my unwavering desire to see Harper planted 6 feet under politically.  To observe the Republicanus/Teabaggerum is to know what Harper is doing or is likely to do.  As Ralph Nader said in a letter to Harper:

"… in your announcement were your exaggerated expressions that exceed the paranoia of Washington’s chief attack dog, former vice-president Dick Cheney. Mr. Cheney periodically surfaces to update his pathological war mongering oblivious to facts—past and present—including his criminal war of aggression which devastated Iraq…"

    • Have you tried emailing the pics to yourself (or me) from the phone?

      • Yes.  I push send but nothing shows up.

        • Then either your phone is defective or misonfigured.  Does your phone have a wire with a USB interface to plug it into your computer?  If so, try treating the phone as a flash frive.  If that does not work, you'd better take it in.

    • "Benjamin Franklin once said those who prefer security over freedom deserve neither."

Thank you Lynn and TomCat, I thought new technology was supposed to make life easier?

  6. Well done Lynn – you have won 10 times according to the scoreboard on the right of this screen – a notable achievement!   I agree with TC – you have more knowledge of American politics than the vast majority of the voting public if not more – and you manage to disseminate your knowledge in a way that is entertaining as well as learned.  Your posts are always so worth reading – and I do love learning (when I can remember the stuff I've just read – sigh!).

  7. Well it's always nice to see someone with a "big mouth" that has something to say that we can we can all learn something from.   Congratulations Lynn

  8. Congrats, Lynn! The award is well deserved!

We are all waiting for the picture though.

  9. WOO-HOO, Lynn!  Hearty congratulations to a well-deserving, fabulous personality!

  10. Keep the praise coming!

  11. congratulations, Lynn. You are in inspiration to us all.  I want to see that picture, too!

  12. Thank you Lynn Squance, you Rock and I learn so much from you… Two Thumbs up ↑ ↑
