I’m writing for tomorrow, day 80.  Yesterday my meeting with my guys in prison went very well.  About 75 had a general meeting, while 25 had a discussion on ethics with students from an University of Oregon Ethics class.  I could not have been more proud of all of them.  The students left with a changed perspective about prisoners.  On the down side, I turned off my O2, when I got to the Activities section and would be sedentary, but I turned the bevel to continuous flow instead of off by mistake, le3aving mw with an empty O2 tank.  That made the trip home extremely difficult.  It wiped me out in the procss, so I need to spend the day in hiding.

Today’s took me 4:51 (average 6:22).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. I'm so glad the meeting went so well – it was marvellous to change the perspective of students like that – hopefully they will tell all their friends!.   So sorry about the oxygen cylinder, it is so easy to make a mistake with a tap, isn't it – what a relief you got home safely – you look very comfortable in your photo (what a well read cat!), and I hope comfort is starting to return in reality!

  2. 3:25 Did I win the race or did I "spoke" too soon?

    Rest easy, Friend.

  3. Sorry to be late.

You have every sympathy I can send. I couldn't get comfortable last night so didn't sleep well, and every joint in my body is screaming this morning. SZome louder than others, of course. I just took my morning NSAIDS, but they haven't had time to kick in yet. Please catch up on your O2 and feel better fast.

  4. Kudos on 80 yet very sorry about the O2 mishap.  Glad the students had sufficiently open minds and interest in learning to actually do so.  Take care my friend.

  5. Hope you're feeling better soon TC… πŸ˜†

  6. Forget "Carpe Diem" – Portlanders are going with "CarpeT Diem"!

Saw a piece on Portlandia people positively pining the loss of Portland International Airport (PDX) CARPET!

OK – I agree … it's a very nice carpet, but GEEZZZ!  Who would put a TATTOO of a carpet design on their body?!?

What's in the water up there in Portland, TC?  I mean, we're talking CARPET!

  7. You're coming up on 80 days and I'm coming up 80 comments in PP.

Guess you will be paying closer attention to your O2 settings from now on.

  8. Glad you had a good meeting, you willhave to be extra careful with your O2 next time.  The cat in the pic looks like another one of my Oreo.

  9. Fortunately, you look like my Scooter (RIP) but he is sleeping much more soundly than you, thank goodness. Now please be more careful with the O2.  We'd all much prefer you healthy and safe.

BTW, I will be participating in the Alzheimer's Walk for Memories tomorrow morning starting at 9 am. ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!  It is a 9 km walk around Burnaby Lake in central Burnaby.  I doubt I'll be able to do the entire 9 km (in fact I know I won't be able to!) but I'll do my best.  I'll be using my walking poles and knee brace, and I have physio on Monday morning so that should help if I need it.  Talk to you guys later tomorrow . . . might be really late if I go to see my mother afterwards.  Her care home is quite close to the lake.

  10. Thanks all.  My 4-8 sleep cycle lasted from 3:30 to almost midnight.  That's why I'm late.
