I’;m writing for tomorrow, day 51.  I’m feeding a couple people in my building.  The menu is roast turkey breast, mashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing, gravy, broccoli Hollandaise, cranberry sauce, and raspberry pudding ring cake.  There’s no time for research today as I’m busy with other things (see below).  Merry Christmas!

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:39 (average 5:20).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

This is the pic Pat A tried to post in a comment.  We have to keep security high, because porno spammers, North Koreans, and worst of all Republicans are forever trying to hack the back end of legitimate sites.

  1. 4:39 average unchanged.  Thank you for posting Pat's picture.  With her sense of humor, I was sure it would be funny.  Off now – see y'all later.

  2. Love seeing all who are important gathered at the table – you are an ambitious and generous man, TC, feeding fur friends and neighbors, too.  May all the good you do come back to you threefold.

  3. Love the pix and spirit of generosity.

  4.

Thanks so much for posting the picture TC – and I love your picture too, though perhaps you need a slightly higher chair(!)

(I knew about hackers and the Repugs – but had never heard about 'porno spammers' – and I feel slightly queasy, whatever next!).

Your dinner sounds wonderful – I knew you would be having people round, and food shared with friends, or strangers about to be friends, tastes all the better for it – that embodies the spirit of Christmas!

  5. 4:37 I just couldn't get into gear today.

Your dinner sounds fantastic, especially the dessert. We had roast stuffed turkey, mashed potatos, candied sweet potatos, brussels sprouts and Christmas cookies. I made lasagne for Christmas Eve dinner with dark chocolate truffles for dessert.

I hope everyone had a Peaceful and Joyous Christmas.

    • 3:22  OK, now I have to get my butt in gear and go roast the turkey roast and prepare the yams.  The menu: roast turkey (white meat), yams, stuffing, peas, probably mashed potatoes, lingonberry sauce, and a bit of blueberry pie for dessert.  I'll wash it all down with carbonated apple/pear or apple/lingonberry juice.  Damn, I'm making myself hungry!

Your dinner sounds divine TC.  I hope mine will be OK.  I went to see mother yesterday so having Christmas dinner had to wait.

You look a little blanche in the pic TC.  More iron needed . . . translated that means more turkey!

Pat's kitten pic, which is certainly making the rounds, could have said "Please sir, may I have some more?" invoking Dickens of course.  Of course that would give the doggies a pass, but hey, it's Christmas!

  6. Tomcat…

Merry Christmas.  Hope you had a great one and received all the goodies you ask Santa for.  I'm sured you did because you've been a very good tomcat all year.  AP

  7. LOL! Nice, Pat! I don't mind porno spammers and North Koreans, but I draw the line at Republicans!

  8. Anouncement!  Anouncement!!  Anouncement!!!

I am a Zia again to Ava Madison Spearman, born 26/12/14, 8 lb 15 ounces, 22 inches long.  Younger sister to Lauren Nicole aka Muffin 4 years old and Austin Tyler aka Monkey 3 years old.  Mommy and Ava doing well. Because my neice had gestational diabetes, baby is being looked after to see that her blood sugar levels normalise.

Nono and nona (grandpa and grandma) are over the moon excited and taking the 2 older children to the hospital to see baby and mommy this evening.  This Zia is very excited too and awaiting pictures.

  9. JUST got back from a wonderful Holiday trip to Illinois with Mom, aunt and family friends!  And I want to wish everyone a "Happy Boxing Day!" (And if you're unfamiliar with the UK tradition of Boxing Day, you can Google it as well as I can)

And since we all know how Cats just LOVE boxes, thought you might enjoy a few Gifts:

  10. Thanks all.  I'm commenting early to be lazy on a slkow news day.

Sharing with others gives me an excuse to eat a lavish holiday meal, as I wiuld not go tio all that effort otherwise. 🙂

  11. Love the pics, and hope you had a great dinner.
