I’m writing for tomorrow, day 45.  Last night there was another fire in the building.  The alarm awakened me from a sound sleep at 3:45 AM, and I had to dress for weather and prepare to be evacuated if need be.  I never smelled smoke and the alarm quit about twenty minutes later, but I was far too wound up to get back to sleep.  To make matters worse, tomorrow I have a semi-annual meeting that I must attend and cannot reschedule.  I get to go out into the worst part of the coming storm.  Half an inch of rain and high winds are forecast.  So today, I’m getting all the rest I can.  Do not be surprised, if I have nothing for Sunday, either.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 2:55 (average 4:58).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

  1. 5:29 average up a little. So sorry you're feeling too ill to knock it down and play with it.Tip:  if you have a crockpot, use it, if not to make the hot soup, at least to keep it hot – less chance of engaging a smoke or fire alarm.  Terrible your sleep was interrupted, but it could have been worse if you had actually had to GO outside.  Hope your meeting isn't too long, you get back safely, and rest to the max.  Don't worry about Sunday.  If the world ends, someone will post it in a comment.

  2. Hope you're feeling better soon as I've had my own challenges but, I fight everyday to move forward… πŸ˜†

  3. Sad to hear so much slowing your recovery–hope things change soon.

TC, trying to improve my hideous health, I have been experimenting with D-Ribose lately (widely available from Amazon and other internet sites, and in health stores apparently) – and one effect that I did not expect is that it improves my sleep – and what a blessing that is after decades of almost no sleep!  I realise that lack of sleep due to ill-health is a complex field, but I think it might be worth a little research on the net (when you have recovered from the ill-effects of the fire alarm this time!) – here is one link, there are many more http://www.endfatigue.com/tools-support/D-ribose.html .  As I understand it the excellent thing about d-ribose is that it helps the heart muscle function better – and I can confirm that effect in my life too.  I cannot find any contraindications, so have recommended it to others – but I would always say (with any new food/new medication)  that we should research things thoroughly before trying them, make our own decisions,  and start in small doses and work up, just in case!

The D-Ribose has also done a lot to calm down my tachycardia – which for months was just appalling – really frightening.

Please take care of yourself – that lovely photo of you above gives me hope that you will!
