Poll Results–11/7/2014

Here are the results of our Control the Senate poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are often both accurate and indicative of the nation’s view. In this case, I admitted up front that this was a push poll, intended to evoke a response, not get an accurate measurement. Sadly, it proved all too prophetic.

If we didn’t get enough Democrats out to vote for this election, the reds will win again in Ky. I really don’t want to move.

I`d like to vote in the red with Gene but I can`t with the historical turnouts at midterms, and the propensity for election fraud and voter suppression by the Republican/Teabaggers.

Vote blue and GET OUT THE VOTE!

To the American voting public, please show me that I have erred and that Democrats will win the day!

It is very important that Democrats get out and VOTE this year. TeapublicanTs cannot win!

VOTE and remind everyone you know of how crucial it is. It is our duty as citizens to VOTE.

Song – this is my song —

So, of those Americans who were registered and could vote, approximately 31% – 38% actually voted.  I suspect we’ll be trying to figure out why so many stayed home right up until the eve of the next election.  I won’t say that the people who voted Republican are stupid, or evil.  Some did co out of hatred, but not all.  Im my opinion, many were just misinformed.  At least they voted.  On the other hand, I hold those people who could have voted but refused to make the effort, beneath contempt.  These people will be whining about what this Congress does.  They deserve it.

There is a new poll ready for you.

  1. You are quite right TC – but oh I feel such sorrow for those good people in America who care for others and try to help others – they are going to have a bad time in the next two yeas.

  2. I see we were pretty much in agreement and we were right, sad to say.

    Woe is us!

  3. I also can't say that those who voted Republican are evil.  Only the party leadership is demonstrably evil.  But I do feel that allowing oneself to be misinformed when the truth is out there is kind of stupid.  Or since stupid references a medical condition which affects the entire consciousness, maybe I should say "not smart" instead.  Many of them are quite bright outside of politics.

  4. Man, I so wished that this poll had been WRONG! And for those that sat on their hands and did not get out and vote, you will get what you DIDN’T vote for!! Setting on your thumbs will be the best part of what will happen in the next two years! The massive changes in the EPA, the Voter’s Rights Act, and Women’s Rights will suffer tremendously, along with a whole bunch of other “Rights” we thought we had, but will loose in the coming years. Just sayin, the head of the committee that has to do with climate change is headed by Inhofe (R) Oklahoma. He is from my state. He will GUT anything that has to do with stopping or abating anything or anyone that wants to make any changes to save the planet!!! “I’m not a scientist” will be his go-to phrase for the next how ever many years he got re-elected for. I voted AGAINST him, BTW. But, we will reap what so many others did not sow and more’s the pity in Planet Earth!!

  5. I have always said, if you don't vote, you have no right to complain.  I don't think all Republicans are evil, either, some of my misguided friends, in fact, most of them, are Republicans.  They are misguided and have been sadly misinformed.

  6. Sorry Gene but I would have liked to be so optimistic with you, but I felt history on my back.

Will non voters whine and cus etc etc?  You bet!  But they'll only have to stand in front of a mirror to discover the source of their displeasure.  Unfortunately, these same people will blame Mr Obama for their problems when again, they need only look in the mirror.  If people don't have Obama's back, he can't have their's.
