Two of My Favorite Ladies

It’s a rare treat for me to see two of my favorite ladies share the spotlight, so I’m going to do something highly atypical for me.  I’m going to shut up and get out of the way.  Introducing Elizabeth Warren and Rachel Maddow.

If you cannot watch MSNBC video, here’s the same clip on YouTube.

Warren makes a great case for the Democratic Party. I found it highly relevant that Warren is the Senator most progressives use as a progressive comparison to Democrats we claim are not progressive enough. Didn’t she just make a most excellent case for us to support and vote for those very people?

What should we get out?

  1. I love Elizabeth Warren – she is such a good, caring, INTELLIGENT and conscientious person that I wish every state in America had hundreds like her, and every country in the world – we need ones like her too!  Thanks TC!

  2. "What should we get out?"   THE VOTE!  THE VOTE!  THE VOTE!  (Sorry for yelling.  Wait, no I'm not.  It needs to be shouted!

  3. If Warren was running in 2016 she would have my vote hands down.  She  and Obama are the future this country will go.  Like she says "You do not have to agree with everything it's the core issues like minimum wage, egual pay and having the rich pay taxes.  If we all get out and vote we can make change.  Thanks Tom

  4. She's on fire with passion for the American people. I hope she is effective in getting out the vote.

    VOTE!

  5. I'm just sorry the Democratic Party doesn't DEMAND all Democrats actually BE Democrats – it allowed Dennis Kucinich to be pushed out, Alan Grayson reclaimed his seat after the Party allowed him to lose it..I'm just tired of everyone wanting "donations" when the Party picks & chooses who to fund. the candidates NEED to go Progressive Liberal or get out of the way for those who are! Never the less, I will ALWAYS vote Democratic – until Warren or Kucinich or Sanders run on an Independent ticket!;)

    • Yvonne, Warren would not run as an Independent.  I dont think Bernie would either (for President).  Kucinich picked that malignant gnome, Ron Paul, as his running mate, when he last ran for President, so I lost all respect for him.  But voting for any of them on an Independent ticket would be a vote for the Republican.

  6. I only hope there are as many intelligent motivated viewers who agree with me that Elizabeth Warren is awesome outside of PoliticsPlus and C2 where I read your posts, TomCat….

  7. From her mouth to God's ears.  I certainly hope she is right and Alison does beat Mitch.  The amount of profit the government is making on the backs of students is a disgrace. Back in the stone age I had a student loan.  There was no interest on them at the time and you had ten years to pay them back, making only one payment a year if you needed to do that.  I must have not been paying attention when the rules changed so drastically.  Good grief, it had to have been a Republican who came up with the bright idea to charge interest on these loans.

  8. YouTube video is not available — blocked by NBC I am guessing to all international viewers, so I picked it up at the following (hope it is the right one!  think it is):

Sen. Warren draws distinction between parties for 2014 midterm elections

Her passion is palpable to say the least!  She is the people's representative and I love it that she is out on the campaign trail for other Democrats.

Warren said: "… Alison will make a strong case in Kentucky and I hope she beats Mitch McConnell with it.".  I have this vision of Alison holding a gallon jug with XXX across it and beating McTurtle over the head with it!  A beating that puts his lights out!

    • The MSNBC link is where this video comes from.

      • When I used your original YouTube link, I got this message: This video contains content from NBC_News, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.  That's why I went to MSNBC.

When I clicked the 2nd YouTube link, I got Rachel in a story about ISIS.

  9. Thanks all.  Running late.
