RepublicansOnParade4

Here is the fifty-sixth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is Republican nominee for Maryland’s Anne Arundel County Council, Michael Peroutka. He is so honored for criminal sedition and TEAbuggery.

0812PeroutkaA miasma of anti-science, anti-evolution, racist, homophobic, secessionist thinking has clearly fogged the brains of Republican voters in Anne Arundel, which is the home county of Maryland’s capital, Annapolis, and also home to the U.S. Naval Academy, National Security Agency, and Fort George G. Meade.

Michael Peroutka, described by Frederick Clarkson as "a party-switching theocrat" (he was the presidential candidate for the Constitution Party in 2004), has won his primary election.

Republicans in Anne Arundel—ostensibly with the capacity to read, write, and think—voted for a man who has openly declared war on science, on the U.S. Constitution, on marriage equality, and who doesn’t just whistle Dixiehe thinks it’s the national anthem.

He has declared that the laws of the state of Maryland are invalid:…

Here he is in action.  Bart Bag Alert!

If this cretin were not truly representative of the Republican Party, the Republican Party would not have nominated him.

  1. He's the perfect candidate for the party of NO.

  2. I'm not sure Peroutka is just appealing to the most stupid and evil; I think he is one.  Also Anne Arundel Republican voters are apparently heavy on 1%ers, so more evil and greedy than stupid.

  3. I had never heard of this guy so I did a little more digging in the net.  From Encyclopedia of American Loons http://americanloons.blogspot.ca/2014/05/1022-michael-peroutka.html

"…campaign theme being “God, Family, Republic” – emphasized in particular the Bible and the idea of America as a Christian Nation, advocating for instance a revision of the First Amendment to affirm Triune Christianity as the officially established religion of the United States. Peroutka was accordingly endorsed by several prominent Dominionists, the League of the South, and Alex Jones. (In 2014 his ambitions are a bit lower, but he is registered to run for spots on a county commission and on the Republican party committee in Anne Arundel County, Maryland; less power, perhaps, but also a greater chance of succeeding – and this guy is seriously dangerous.)"

And in 2004, this loon was the presidential candidate for the Constitution Party.  You might also get a good laugh with these short videos.  http://wn.com/michael_peroutka   Peroutka is most definitely dumber than a sack of hammers, which calls into question the sanity of anyone who would vote for him.  I think someone gave him a wedgie and it cut of the circulation to his brain, such that it is.

  4. Moved from a so called loose State to a tight State. Bad move but, the weather is better…

  5. This guy is Nucking Futs…

  6. When I saw that the clip was from Right Wing Watch.Org I knew I couldn't watch all of it.  He is, sadly, a true representative of the Republican party today.

  7. Thanks all.  I overslept again. :-(
