One of the worst things about international tragedies is that things tend to crawl out of the woodwork that should never again seen the light of day.  In just such a situation, I encountered an explanation for Flight 17 that is so totally stupid that it almost makes Vladimir Putin (R-RU) sound reasonable.

PaulMassaHe raises the possibility that the U.S. may be using the crash to start a war against Putin.

Former Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul claimed Sunday that the U.S. and European Union may share responsibility for the downing of a Malaysia Airlines plane over Ukraine last week.

“While western media outlets rush to repeat government propaganda on the event, there are a few things they will not report,” Paul, a former Republican congressman from Texas, wrote on his website [racist gnome delinked]. “They will not report that the crisis in Ukraine started late last year, when the EU and U.S. overthrew the elected Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych. Without U.S.-sponsored ‘regime change,’ it is unlikely that hundreds would have been killed in the unrest that followed. Nor would the Malaysian Airlines crash have happened.”

Paul is the father of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul [Idiot, Son of Idiot, named after Idiot], who is ahead in polls of likely candidates running for the GOP nomination for president in 2016… [emphasis original]

Like virtually everything else Ron Paul has ever said, his ANALysis has a foundation of lies.  The best think he could possibly do for America is to crawl back into his ignominy, and contemplate that his failure to wear a condom has created an national catastrophe.

  1. Can we finally recognize that Ron Paul is simply a crazy person and has a cult following of other crazy people?  If you look at pro-Ron-Paul websites, they're full of 9/11 conspiratards and bitcoin nuts and suchlike.  I've never run into anyone who supports Ron Paul who seemed at all grounded in reality.

As for Rand Paul, the jury is still out, but the signs so far aren't good.

  2. Ain't holding my breath, but a responsible journalist needs to ask Rand Paul if he agrees with Dad.

  3. One more glimpse into a "Conservative" (for want of a better word that is printable) world in which nothing ever just happens, everything is orchestrated (and badly out of tune, I might add.)  How long before the rest of the world comes to the conclusion that the only conspiracies that actually happened are the ones the "Conservatives" conspired on?  That is how they think, whereas liberals (AKA sane people) just don't think that way.  "Conservatives" should be required to precede these conspiracy fairy-tale utterances with the disclaimer, "This is how I would have done it."

  4. Well Tom just like you said he didnt matter in 2008 and what has changed nothing.  Oh his son Rand Paul will not in 2016 either

  5. “They will not report that . . . "

If this is the case, how did Ron Paul come to this information, not to mention that some is pure opinion on his part.

"…started … when the EU and U.S. overthrew the elected Ukrainian president…" — Paul opinion.  The Ukrainian president was overthrown by his own people after he signed a treaty with Russia.  The interim government approached the EU for association.  And financing?  The Ukraine went to the IMF for financing.  In both cases there were conditions that will eventually result in wide spread changes to the fabric of Ukrainian society.

Does that sound like the US and the EU?

“They will not report that the missile that apparently shot down the plane was from a sophisticated surface-to-air missile system …” — Sorry Ron, but this was reported.  And many of us suspect, if not know that the rebels do not likely have the skills to operate it.  But Ron, you omitted to say that the separatists are aligned with Russia and Russia would no doubt train them.

RonPaul is, as usual, out to lunch.  And I think we all know that the apple . . . er . . . nut doesn't fall far from the tree, so lookout for Rand Paul, especially in 2016.

I hear the rolling padded wagon coming . . .

  6. Sigh, dread, the son follows in the father's foot steps, and apparently Rand has a huge following.  Please, please don't all of us let him get elected to a higher office.  He has the aspirations.

  7. Thanks and amen to all.  Pit stop mode.

  8. his failure to wear a condom has created an national catastrophe.

I just can not even imagine either Ron or Rand Paul answering the phone at 3am at the helm…
