Poll Results–6/19/2014

Here are the results of our PP Theme Poll.  Politics Plus Polls are not scientific, because those who respond are not balanced according to demographic categories.   Therefore, we do not accurately reflect the makeup of the US population.  Nevertheless, our polls are often both accurate and indicative of the nation’s view. However, I rather doubt that the nation is riveted on the look and feel of Politics Plus.

First of all – change it to WHAT?!?

I voted "Doesn’t Matter"

No doubt there are "tweaks" that would improve ANY website – but has there been a major problem in this one? (OK – Emoticons … but I don’t consider THAT a MAJOR problem)

As the adage goes:

"If it ain’t broke – don’t fix it."

(Improve it all you want – but I’ll keep coming back)

Love it just as is change is only important if it makes your life easier….

I like it just as it is, but if you change it, I will still be reading it.

Unless changing things makes it work better for you, it’s fine the way it is, with just one little nit-pick. Those posters you put up with the multi-colored wording are sometimes difficult for us color-deficient vision types to read.

I look forward to Tom’s articles, even though I do not comment, I do read them and would not change a thing.

Like everyone else, I like it just fine the way it is. But I don’t come for the theme. I come for the content, and to some degree for the other commenters.

I’m with the others on this one. You don’t have to change ot on my account, but it is your blog, TomCat, and if you want to change it for one reason or another, please feel free to do so, as long as you keep the quality and content as it is.

I’m with Lynn on this. If it makes it easier for you, then by all means do it. If it makes it more complicated and harder for you to continue this wonderful blog, then leave it be.

Doesn’t matter to me. I am of a mind that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Having said that, if it makes your job as administrator/owner easier, then do it. I come to the site for content and people. Always have, always will! . . . well unless you get a weird disease that turns you into a Republican! God forbid!

"OMG!!" is right! That is akin to a full blown psychosis! Not good! Not good at all!

Rarely in such a minority, I was one of the two who voted yes.  The theme I’m using now is a good one, but it has undergone a lot of changes since I originally installed it years ago.  I don’t fully understand them and support is not the programmer’s strong suit.  I’m considering a switch to Graphene.  It appears to have all the features I want, is very well documented, and because it is open source, there is a large community of knowledgeable people that support it well.  That is the upside.  The downside is that, when and if I change it, redesigning the layout will take many hours of work.  So, sooner or later, I probably shall, but don’t expect it in the immediate future.

  1. Do what you think is best.

  2. It's your call, TC, do what works for you.

  3. I stand with my original comment "Doesn’t matter to me. I am of a mind that if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Having said that, if it makes your job as administrator/owner easier, then do it. …".  Just don't change the content.  Keep pissing off as many Republicanus/Teabaggers as possible!

  4. It is your blog, however you choose to format it, I will still be here.

  5. Thanks all.  I just like you guys to have a feel for what goes on in the back end.
