I’m writing for tomorrow.  I’m groggy after sleeping 7 hours in the last 24 and feel ready to go back to bed.  Tomorrow is a holy day in the Church of the Ellipsoid Orb.  My Broncos are worshiping in the Chiefs’ venue, and their service is televised here, so I shall be meditating.  May the Orb shed it’s holy light on your team, unless it’s KC.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 3:23 (average 4:13).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Common Dreams: A day of protests at well over a thousand locations nationwide saw huge numbers of pro-worker activists and Walmart [sic] employees themselves protesting against the retail giant’s notoriously low wages and flagrant disregard for their employees’ well-being.

Kudos to the demonstrators for standing up to Wal-Fart’s Republican class warfare!

From Crooks and Liars: I’m sure everyone saw this one coming a mile away as well. El Rushbo couldn’t let the talking heads on Fox be the only ones getting in on the Pope bashing after he dared to speak out against unfettered capitalism and the idolatry of money.

Since both Limbarf and the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise, are bashing this Pope, he must be closer to authentic Christianity than any Republican Supply-side pseudo-Christian.

From Think Progress: Ohio Congresswoman Marcia Fudge (D) has asked Attorney General Eric Holder to review two voting measures making their way through the state legislature that she claims could “suppress the voting rights of African Americans and other minorities.”

The proposed bills (S. 238 and H.B. 269) would reduce the number of absentee-voting days by six, prevent newly registered voters from voting the day they register, and require voters to present valid identification — a driver’s license, a state or military ID card, or a passport — when casting a ballot.

Election theft by disenfranchising black voters is not a Southern problem. It’s a Republican problem.

  1. GO CHIEFS!  It's Payback Time!

(You really didn't expect me to pass up the opportunity.  My Mom and aunt got into town for Thanksgiving last Tuesday, so I've been enjoying time with family.  They head back to Illinois Monday – and hopefully will be able to make it back in just THREE weeks for Christmas)

  2. 3:04 That streetlight lit the way for me.

  3. Common Dreams ~ I hope something good comes of this. It is almost impossible to live on the wages paid by Wal-Fart and others who put profit above people.

Crooks and Liars ~ Limbarf was willing "to cut him some slack"??? LOL

Think Progress ~ Nothing would make the Republithugs happier than allowing only old white men the vote.

Cartoon ~ A sad day for Republithugs. A good day for mankind.

  4. 4:16, never got the light turned on.  Darn.

Common Dreams – then add all the boycotters…  I am dying to hear their sales figures for the day.

Crooks and Liars – Can't stand Rush – but how dare he, or anyone who isn't Catholic, even think about telling the Pope how to run his church?  Brass balls the size of church bells., he must have.

The GOOD TP – Hooray for Marcia Fudge!

  5. Crooks and Liars — The evangelical right wing pseudo Christians, like Limbaugh the Pompous, would have everyone believe that they are upright, God fearing individuals who obey the word of God, particularly that laid out in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament).  Well . . .

From Wikipedia "You shall have no other gods before me is one of the Ten Commandments found in the Hebrew Bible (לא יהיה־לך אלהים אחרים על־פני Exodus 20:3 = Deuteronomy 5:7)."

Well the Pope has exposed the evangelical right wing pseudo Christians for what they truly are, yet again!  The evangelical right wing pseudo Christians worship money and greed as their god, going against the 2nd commandment!  Tut!  Tut!!

Cartoon — Thank you Rosa Parks for standing up for justice!  Let's pack the bus so that the Republicanus/Teabaggers have to walk!

  6. 4:40 ~How did you do? –

I like this new Pope, I don't like Lush Rimbaugh.

    😆 vs 😈

  7. Common Dreams:  I wish the Wal Mart employees every success in their efforts to improve their working conditions.  I only shop there when I can't find the item anywhere else in our little town.  They have driven out almost all the local stores.

Crooks and Liars:  I am sure the Pope will be relieved to know that Rush no longer plans to become a Catholic.  If Rush is against him, he has to be on the right course.  So far I have liked everything this Pope has said and done.

Think Progress:  Bingo. " Election theft by disenfranchising black voters is a Republican Problem."  I totally agree.

Cartoon:   Rosa Sparks showed so much courage that day and so much good has happened as a result.

  8. I know I'm late.! Computer down a coupple of days. Had over 800 emails in my in box  Been trying to get through 'em for hrs. now.  Voter surpression is a Nationwide Repub. problem. GOP can't win elections fair & square…They have to cheat to win. They know this …so surpression is their 1st move. We'll see what else they pull out of their bag of dirty tricks. We already know they will (try to) buy anything they can.  As for Faux Noise & Rush….well the pseudo-christian RWNJ are getting so crazy …they are starting to loose supporters….it is possible to get tooooo crazy.!

  9. Sorry! Didn’t do the Jig Zone Puzzle. Didn’t have time.

Common Dreams ~ I wish all those protesters all the success in the world. I really would love to see them kick Walfart’s ass. Sock it to ’em!

Crooks and Liars ~ So Rushbo’s at it again. Hey Fat Boy, this is for you! I can’t hang you by the balls, because you haven’t got any. It’s sort of like a balance for that emptiness you call a brain. So you want to cut down the Pope, huh? Hell, you’re getting to look more and more like an overweight Satan every day!

Think Progress ~ I wish Congresswoman Fudge success in all she’s doing to unravel all the Republican bullshit regarding voter registration and voting right suppression. Kudos for her!

Cartoon ~ Rosa Parks: God bless her!
