Faux Noise? Faux Facts!

We often wonder just where the righties we know get the factual garbage they spew.  Many are sincere, but the Republican noise machine and truth are mutually exclusive.  The greatest violator of all is, of course, the Republican Reichsministry of Propaganda, Faux Noise.  This is especially true where ObamaCare is concerned.

FoxStupidAshley Dionne, a recent guest on Mike Huckabee’s show, claimed that her insurance premiums would jump from $75 per month to $319 per month for her family. She proclaimed the act to be the "Unaffordable Care Act" and went even further, claiming her future and that of her children had been ‘raped.’

Unfortunately, someone forgot to mention to Ashley that her premiums were offset with subsidies, so she would really pay $223 per YEAR as well as receiving assistance with copayments. Oops.

Last Friday Sean Hannity hosted a special on how the Affordable Care Act is hurting Americans. It’s a claim we hear every day from Ted Cruz on down to your average right wing Twitter troll. Every time I hear it, I wonder how it is even possible that so many are in so much pain over a law that opens up the health insurance market to everyone.

Evidently I’m not the only one with those questions. Eric Stern, a former aide to Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer and one of the key people involved in Montana’s exchange, took a hard look at the "regular people" claiming they were harmed by Obamacare.

Stern called the people who appeared on Hannity’s show to get more detail on their stories. Surprise! It seems there was more to every single one…

She sure is convincing, nut what she said is dead wrong.  I’m guessing she lacks the wisdom to dig for the fact herself and lives in a state where the Republican government is misinforming people to keep them from getting care.  In my book, that’s just plain evil!

  1. Does this sad dimwit know the meaning of the word 'rape'?  She says she uses it in the meaning of the word to plunder or to steal – I bet many many women the world over wished that they had merely had stuff stolen rather than being RAPED – what an unbelievable moron – where did she graduate from and in what?   If you look at her body language it is very strange – most hangdog and weird – turn the sound off and look at her – she is very strange indeed.  I think more may emerge about her in the months to come.

  2. 2 College degrees? In what? Acting and Deceit?

I would also like to know where she has worked so hard? She stated that quite a few times. Does she mean working to get her 2 degrees?

I clicked through and read the rest of the compliners who were just as ignorant of the facts as Miss 2 College Degrees.

  3. premiums would jump from $75 per month to $319 per month for her family

her insurance premiums would jump from $75 per month to $18 per month for her family.

  4. Crooks and Liars:  I read through the article, it stil amazes me that so many are so ignorant or ornery that they won't try to learn the truth, but accept anything they are told that is negative.  My brother used to tell my niece that she was "awfulizing" when she was a dramatic teen.  I think that adjective applies her, too.

  5. "Overall, the conclusion has to be that it's not the ACA inflicting pain, it's the lies conservatives have sold as truth causing pain. Anyone with even a small crack in an otherwise closed mind will discover that the ACA is far less painful than what they've been spoon-fed by Murdoch's minions."

This sums it up nicely.  Check out your position with the exchanges or with the government website.  Don't listen to conservative pundits.  Your healthcare is not their problem.  They have their own agenda, and it isn't you, America.
