I don’t know about you, but I’m sick of the Zimmerman trial.  The media have flocked to it like Republicans to racism.  Now that the jury has the case, the right wing bubble chamber is going wild trying to paint Zimmerman as the innocent victim, but one would have you believe that, if Zimmerman is convicted, it’s Obama’s fault!

14JohnFundIt’s getting harder and harder to distinguish the National Review from World Nut Daily these days. Just look at this feverish mess from John Fund about the George Zimmerman trial.

It looks as if the trial of George Zimmerman on second-degree-murder charges will go to the jury today, but regardless of the verdict [ed. heads I win, tails you lose], the Justice Department has some questions to answer about its role in the pressure campaign leading up to his indictment.“My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying government employees to help organize racially charged demonstrations,” says Tom Fitton, the president of Judicial Watch, in a statement on the group’s website.

Sadly, I am not surprised that Eric Holder’s Justice Department engaged in suspect activity in the Trayvon Martin case. Barack Obama frequently touted his experience as a “community organizer” during his 2008 campaign. The media gave him almost a complete pass on the more controversial parts of his record, especially his role as a top trainer and lawyer for the infamous Saul Alinsky–inspired group ACORN, which by 2008 had had many of its employees convicted of voter fraud.

How many wingnut G-spots did he hit in those two grafs? But I’m disappointed. No Black Panthers reference?

The fact is, the state attorney who was responsible for investing the Zimmeran case, Angela Corey, was appointed by Rick Scott and is a Republican. One of the prosecutors, Bernie de la Rionda, is a Cuban emigree who’s received a commendation from the FBI. The other prosecutor, Assistant D.A. John Guy, has tried over 100 cases… [emphasis original]

These are 100% manufactured lies.  Holder had nothing to do with it, and many ACORN members were NOT convicted of voter fraud.  If they are going to blame anyone, they should blame that Muslim, Alinskyite Communist, Rick Scott.  Absurd, you say?  It is, but if they get all that InsaniTEA, I get an occasional sip of AbsurdiTEA. 😉

Note: This article was written entirely before the infamous jury verdict made racism justification for murder in Florida.

  1. Truly amazing how the conservatives twist everything — twist and obfuscate — a real FUBAR!  Blame it on Mr Obama!  This guy is such a putz!

I stumbled upon this in the Huff Post earlier and was struct incredulous.  Defence attorney Mark O'Mara made the most insane comment.

Although counsel was advised to leave race out of the discussion during trial, during the post-trial press conference, Zimmerman's defense attorney, Mark O'Mara, remarked that if his client were black, "he never would've been charged with a crime."

I do not feel that justice was served.  Of course I was not sitting through the trial.

  2. Neither does it appear to me that justice was served.  It appears that to add to the offence of DWB (driving whilst black) must be added the offence of WDTSWB (walking down the street whilst black) – God help us all of every race creed and colour!!

(Mind you, to the GOP and the TP – if one of them stubs their toe, then that was President Obama's fault too!).

  3. Florida seems to be the place to go for injustice.

  4. Breaking News Headline:

    George Zimmerman Is Now Free

    Trayvon Martin Is Still Dead

I saw a tweet that I liked (paraphrased):

The problem with the verdict is NOT that there will be more riots. It's that there will now be more George Zimmermans

  5. A simple "FUBAR"… for Zimmerman's not guilty verdict.

  6. I couldn't believe the verdict when I heard it last night. However, I was not on the jury.  They have to rule on the evidence presented in the trial and if the state does not prove beyond a reasonable doubt they have no choice but to declare not guilty.  I have been called to jury duty three times, fortunately, never on a case like this.  Believe me, it is no easy task to sit and listen to testimony from both parties and then make a decision based only on the facts presented in the trial.  If Zimmerman had stayed in his car as ordered, none of this would have happened.
