RepublicansOnParade3

Here is the eighth article in our Republicans on Parade series, featuring individuals who personify what the Republican Party has become. Today’s honoree is activist Robert Whittaker, for demonstrating what Republicans consider tolerance, but we call racism.

4WhittakerFor the past three years, a mysterious figure calling himself Horus the Avenger has operated White Rabbit Radio, an online community of racists dedicated to spreading a message called the “Mantra” far and wide.

Written by a curmudgeonly segregationist with a history of drug abuse named Robert Whitaker, the 221-word Mantra is an attack on multiculturalism. “Anti-racist is code word for anti-white,” the Mantra reads in part…

…A far-right propagandist for more than a half-century, the former economics professor and Reagan appointee to the Office of Personnel Management has been linked to radical, often racist, populist campaigns for most of his career. He once claimed to have a swastika poster on his wall when he was young in protest of desegregation. In fact, his advocacy of segregation and racist ideology seems rooted in his opposition to America’s early civil rights struggles. But the bombastic bullet points to his biography go on…

…In part, it reads: “Everybody says there is this race problem. Everybody says this race problem will be solved when the third world pours into every white country and only into white countries. … Everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country and only white countries to ‘assimilate,’ i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites. … But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews [sic].” The Mantra ends with its most often quoted phrase: “They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white. Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.”… [emphasis added]

Now, I have no doubt that Republicans will scream that they are not racist, and that Whittaker is not one of them.  Regarding the former, if they are not racist, they should stop trying to deprive minority voters of their right to vote.  Regarding the latter, of course he is.  He was appointed to public office by A demi-god highly placed in the Republican canon: Saint Ronnie Ray Gun!  It’s hard to get more Republican!

  1. "Horus the Avenger?!" Is there a funny hat and a secret handshake, too?

So this is the new GOPee verbal gymnastics – that "racist" means "anti-white."  Wow.  They're not even trying ot make sense anymore, are they?  This is a political party that is imploding in slow motion.  As they grow more desperate, they appear to grow more crazy.  The people who used to be considered fringe lunatics are now the voice of the party…as it spirals down that rabbit hole forever.

And if mentally unbalanced secret Hitler worshippers like "Horus the Avenger" become spokesmodels for the party (and there are far too many of them now), how can they possibly ever get back any of the respectability they have lost/thrown away in the last 20-30 years? I don't think they ever can. This must be what political suicide looks like.

    • Angie, the funny hat may be a pointy hood.

The GOP took views that were ignored and marginalized, juat as we on the left still manage our own tinfiol hat set, and made the mainstream.

May I suggest that Hitler was not concerned with respectability?

      • Tom, I don't think people like this even think about respectability.  A lot of the voters do and may I suggest that if they are republlicans they do and they don't.  And I definitely agree that the tinfoil hat is a pointy white hood.  My point is that their lunatics are no longer on the fringe (ours still are). Theirs are running the madhouse now. The fact that some wack job named "Horus the Avenger has been on the air for over 3 years seems to be proof to me. Who is listening to this drivel? Enough people to keep him on the air for 3 years.

I believe that many people who are still republicans (and this is just my own observation) are denying being republicans by claiming to be "conservatives"  and saying that they don't always agree with the party simultaneously while voting against everything and anything Obama wants passed and supporting anti-Obama measures wholeheartedly.  They are the same politically but denying it strongly.  Why?   Because they have realized that their own party is now a daily embarrassment. They embrace those ideas but don't want to have to answer for them.

  2. The GOP has lost almost every one but whites and the wealthy.  I hope they do implode soon.  I will never understand why a woman or a lower or middle class person would vote for them.

  3. I had never heard of this fellow so of course I googled him which lead me to YouTube.  This guy is a certified nut case. . . a dangerous one in the wrong ears.

Anti-racist = anti-white??  He has been sipping too much insaniTea!

    Genocide of the white race?

I really don't understand what people like this are afraid of . . .

    • For sure.  He smears himself better than I ever could.

RepubliSpeak DictionaryRacism: a most proper attitude.

I doubt that they are actually afraid themselves.  They use fear to force their will on others.
