McCain in Jekyll Mode

If any politician personifies Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, it’s John McCain (R-AZ).  In Jekyll mode he’s McCain.  In Hyde mode, he’s McConJob.  Unfortunately, since he began to run for President in 2008, he has spent most of his time as McConJob, but on Tuesday, he spent some very difficult time as McCain.

21McCainSen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) defended his immigration proposals and border enforcement efforts during a heated town hall meeting in Arizona on Tuesday.

McCain, who is part of the so-called Gang of Eight senators working on immigration reform, hosted two gatherings Tuesday, where residents expressed concern and frustration about border security, reported the Associated Press.

"Arizona Nightly News" reported that the 75-minute town hall meeting was dominated by hostile questions about immigration reform…

As praiseworthy as was his performance at this town hall meeting, one cannot help appreciating the humor in the irony that the man who helped put the Teabaggers on the map, the man who brought us Sarah Palin, aka Drill Baby Dingbat, aka Bullseye Barbie, is now falling victim to his own McConJob Teabuggery.

  1. From The Hill ~ "You want to tell a story that somehow there was a problem at this town hall meeting. That's the story you want to tell. It's not true. It's what I've been doing for 30 years," McCain said.

So, he admits he's been lying for 30 years?

  2. I'm sorry but the fact that McCain has sown the wind (repeatedly, at no matter the cost to the truth) and has reaped the whirlwind is only fair – in fact if it was truly fair it would be far worse for him and his political career would end in ignomony…   Whoever that woman is on the video said she applauds him for dispelling the myths about him – he isn't doing any such thing – he said one thing, now he is saying another!  Lying b******d!

  3. McCant needs to retire, plain and simple.

    .

  4. McCain lost all his integrity and believability when he ran in 2008.  Sadly, he is a caricature of his former self.  He needs to retire and write his memoirs.

  5. It seems McCain is no different than many, even most of the Republican/Teabaggers — he flip-flops depending on what he needs at the time.

I remember a clip from 2008 I believe, of him telling a woman she was wrong when she referred to Mr Obama as a Muslim and a communist.  He was quite forceful about that!  I respected him for that.  But now I wonder if that was an act, something to help him with voters as he ran for POTUS.  Appear to be more moderate, more conciliatory to win votes.  He screwed that up badly when he chose Palin as his running mate.

He should retire.  Actually, the whole damn Republican/Teabagger party should retire.  With all the infighting, that may yet come.
