I trust you remember the Republican election fraud scandal in Florida and several other swing states, and how the Republican Party had Nathan Sproul create a whole new company to hide his involvement, given his past record for criminal activity on behalf of Republicans.  They said that they have fired Sproul and cut off contact with him.  Would you be surprised to learn that they lied?

13RepublicanFraudOn Thursday, we reported that the companies of Nathan Sproul, the man at the center of the GOP Voter Registration Fraud Scandal, are still at work for Republicans in some 10 states. That, despite previous claims by the RNC that they’d fired his company, Strategic Allied Consulting, after fraudulent registration forms the firm collected on behalf of the Florida GOP were discovered in 12 counties across the state late last month, and reports that employees of the company destroyed Democratic registration forms in other states.

The RNC, which had a $3 million contract with Sproul (a paid political consultant of Mitt Romney’s), claimed they fired his company — the one Sproul says he created at the RNC’s request, due to his long reputation for having been accused of doing the same thing in elections going back to 2004 — because they had a "zero tolerance" policy for those involved in election fraud. Nonetheless, as detailed yesterday, several other companies of his, including one, Issue Advocacy Partners, with a nearly identical website to Strategic Allied Consulting, was found to be still operating in a whole bunch of states… [emphasis added]

Greg Palast revealed the long term connections of this scandal with the Koch Brothers and Karl Rove.

For seventeen years, Sproul has been practicing election fraud for the Republican Party. Whenever there is election crime, you can be sure a someone is sucking a Koch.  If you think GOP election fraud isn’t still going strong, think again.

    Billionaires & Ballot Bandits

Whenever there is election crime, you can be sure a someone is sucking a Koch.

Most people would be happy with wealth beyond ones needs but these bandits cost tax payers even more money… sigh

  2. I am more likely to be surprised when they tell the truth-!

  3. With so much apparent evidence, why can't these criminals, including the Kochs, be charged, found guilty and put in jail?  I find myself shaking with rage and fear, not for myself, but for all people who believe in justice.

To be sure, when the popular revolution comes, and it will, people will be rounded up and find their rights gone.  Who will speak up then?  Reminds me yet again of Martin Niemöller and his poem:

First they came for the communists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

    Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

To me, this is scarey shit that needs to be fought against!

  4. Greg Palast, imho, is one of the bravest men on the planet.  Thanks, Tom, for this story.
