It looks like I can get articles up and links distributed today, before I leave to do volunteer work in prison.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow it’s likely that I will have only an Open Thread, because I will get home late tonight, having missed sleep, and be worn out to the point of uselessness.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Jerry’s team is so powerful, I’ll be hard pressed to beat him.

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: Enjoy Watching Mitt Get His A** Handed To Him? Watch Jennifer Granholm Do It

Even during the super-short time that Obama held a technical supermajority, he never held an actual one, because two of the votes in his caucus were Traitor Joe LIEberman and Benedict Arnold Nelson, two mostly Republican votes.

From Salon: Illinois Tea Party Rep. Joe Walsh, once again giving voice to the conservative id, told a crowd in Wood Dale, Ill., this weekend that he doesn’t care about the rights of non-American citizens, and doesn’t care if they’re mistreated in what he sees as a grand struggle between the West and radical Islam. β€œI’m gonna do whatever I can to beat and kill that ugly, evil, radical strain [of Islam]. I’m not concerned about their rights and their liberties,” Walsh said at a campaign event Saturday.

Nobody should be surprised at this Congressman’s bigotry or hatred.  While Democrats ignore our wing-nuts, Republicans elect theirs.

From Daily Kos: The only thing you can trust about Mitt Romney is that he’ll say whatever he thinks he needs to say to get what he wants.

No wonder I call Lord Willard the Lord of Lies!

  1. Puzzle — 4:09 Man, was I in hot water on this one!

MoveOn — Excellent video!  It lays waste to Republican/Teabagger allegations that Mr Obama accomplished nothing when he 'had' the opportunity.  This is the same technique I often used when doing fraud investigations and trying to follow the money.  It is amazing how much clarity such a technique brings.  The GOP trolls will continue to bring this up but it is hard to argue against Granholm's logic and timeline.

Salon — It is people like Joe Walsh that are as big a danger to the world as radical Islamists, radical Jews, radical anything.  Joe Walsh, and people of his ilk, wrap themselves in the flag and call themselves "Christians", but they are not patriots nor true Christians.  They are warmongers, bigots, and political whores!  I certainly hope that Walsh is defeated in a spectacular fashion by Tammy Duckworth.

I had the opportunity to look at Walsh's Congressional picture and I was stunned at the pure malevolence in his face.  The 'smile' is clearly a pasted on smile with no warmth at all, and his eyes are cold, really cold.

    Go Tammy Duckworth!!!!!

Daily Kos — Lord of Lies! indeed!!!!!

Cartoon — Who's that out front?  Joe Walsh marching in lock-step?  No . . . sorry, can't be.  The GOP only order others out to war, they don't go themselves.  Perfect representation of the GOP foreign policy!

Get out the vote!!!!!     Four more years!!!!!

    Vote Democratic 2012!!!!!     Vote Obama/Biden 2012!!!!!

    • It's not often that you are last!

      …or the LIEberman-Nelson  problem.

      Amen!

      Thanks!

I think that may be Boy Wonder, trying to catch up with Ayn. πŸ˜‰

  2. 4:00  Another close grouping on this one…so far.  Will Patty come along and throw cold water on all of us?

  3. MoveOn ~ I saw Jennifer's show when she did this. I've actually seen quite a few people debunk the Lord of Lies on this and many other issue. As always, it's always a pleasure.

Salon ~ Joe Walsh "could give a darn" about the Constitution too, I suppose.
    My reasoning?
'Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the majority in the landmark 2008 Boumediene v. Bush decision, concluded, “The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times. Liberty and security can be reconciled; and in our system they are reconciled within the framework of the law. The Framers decided that habeas corpus, a right of first importance, must be a part of that framework, a part of that law.”'
PPP poll for the LCV last month which had Duckworth up 52-38

Daily Kos ~During the first Presidential Debate, I sat here laughing and saying what he had said earlier on the campaign trail in response to the same questions. Every answer was in direct opposition to previous answers given.
Just remember, on May 17, 2012,  Mittens said :" I’m actually gonna — I’m not familiar precisely with exactly what I said, but I stand by what I said, whatever it was. I’ll go back and take a look at what was said there."
    Need I add more?

Cartoon ~ Rmoney and the Neo-Cons are marching in goose-step to a very scary drummer.

    • Let's not forget this gem either ~
Taking a victory lap after their candidate’s win in the first Presidential debate Wednesday night, Romney campaign insiders today attributed his success to his strategic use of relentless lying.
“We worked for hours on this during the practice debates,” said the campaign manager Matt Rhoades. “We were, like, ‘Mitt, if you find yourself on the verge of saying something true, bite your tongue.’ ”
