We have made it through another month, and I’m a bit behind schedule, because of data collection for tomorrow’s Monthly Report.  I’m current with replies.  Tomorrow appears routine.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today’s took me 4:05 (4:51 average).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From MoveOn: The Tax Calculator For Anyone Opposed To Putting Their Cash Through A Shredder

At their lie fest, Republicans clamed that Obama raised taxes on the middle class. That is not true. This is.

From The New Yorker: In a development that the Republican campaign is sure to find troubling, a new poll of likely voters showed nominee Mitt Romney trailing badly behind the empty chair Clint Eastwood talked to onstage at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.

When asked the question, “Who cares more about people like me?” thirty-seven per cent of voters responded, “Mitt Romney,” while fifty-two per cent said, “Chair.”

The chair certainly has my vote!

From TPM: An attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention, a network official confirmed to TPM.

How very Republican that is!

And the 1% cleaned up!  Some kept doing business with the Nazis even after the US entered the war.

  1. Puzzle — 4:21  I guess that pot of gold did help considering that mousing is rather uncomfortable.

MoveOn — Excellent!  Now, if every middle class and working class American could use this themselves, which they can if they go to the site, I doubt it would be a close race.  Medical Insurance and healthcare ARE big concerns.  Obama/Biden need to get this site out there.
Finish off your e-mails to friends etc, especially your Republican/Teabagger or Independent friends, with "Healthcare a concern?  Try this http://WWW.ROMNEYPLAN.ORG and call me in the morning!"
So, THIS is Mr Obama's tax increase?  Yeh, right Romney/Ryan!  Your version of Medicare/healthcare is nothing but a plan to fleece the American people and leave them naked in the cold!

The New Yorker — WOW!  Not good when you get beat out by an empty unforgiving chair!  Romney, don't give up your day job!

TPM — Republican/Teabaggers appealing to the lowest common denominator — racist morons!

Cartoon — Speaking of racist and bigoted morons . . . the fear factor at work!  A fear factor that helped plunge the world into a second great war!  Hitler obviously didn't get the memo that WWI was the war to end all wars! . . . and so he invaded Poland and brought it to its knees in one day!  And the 1%, persistent as ever kept doing business and making millions upon millions upon millions!  I wonder if you measured the money made against the lives lost (including the victims of Hitler's Holocaust), what would be the value of a life?  To me it would be priceless, beyond all measure, but what if . . .

  2. WRT "The New Yorker" poll showing that Clint Eastwood's Chair could beat Romney – there is now a grassroots movement to get the two of them to run as a write-in:

But Hillary has some doubts about Clint's mental status:

  3. No surprises that Rmoney's tax plan is no good for the "commoners".

The empty chair definitely has more on the ball than the aging Clint Eastwood.

Fear is a powerful weapon and the Nazis used it effectively. The RepublicanTs learned their lessons well from the Fascists.

    • Really!

      …and the money-laundering Romney too!

There are more parallels between 1930s Naziz and today's Republicans than I care to think about!
