Faux Noise Hoody Hypocrisy

I trust you already know about the hateful hoody comments made by Geraldo Rivera, regarding the murder of Trayvon Martin.  Predictably, other goose-steppers at Fox, the Republican Ministry of Propaganda, are falling into line.  Bill O’Lielly is one example.  But you wont believe the hypocrisy on display here.

26FauxHoodiesOn Friday, Fox News contributor Geraldo Rivera sparked a backlash when he seemingly blamed Trayvon Martin for his own death, saying the Florida teen should not have gone outside wearing a hoodie. “I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was,” he said.

Few came to Rivera’s defense, including his own son, who was ashamed of his father, according to Rivera himself. But on Friday night, Rivera finally found someone in his corner — Fox host Bill O’Reilly.

Appearing on The Factor that night, O’Reilly said he agreed with Rivera, explaining that he faced a similar public outcry over a separate event in which people thought the host was blaming the victim. Saying they were both simply offering “a cautionary tale,” O’Reilly said he and Rivera were doing the “exact same thing” and that “your advice was good advice, my advice was good advice.” “If you dress like a wannabe gangster, some knucklehead is going to take you at your word,” Rivera added. Watch it:

Now here’s the hypocrisy.  The photo above depicts Rivera and O’Lielly together at a sporting event.  Note that both those ‘wannabe gangsters’ are wearing hoodies.

  1. “Evidence suggests a major reason Zimmerman thought he needed to use deadly force against the unarmed Martin is because the teen was black — on the recording of Zimmerman’s call to 911 (which he made before pursuing the teen), he is heard using what sounds like a racial epithet and saying “he’s a black male…Something’s wrong with him…These a**holes, they always get away.” Zimmerman has not been charged with any crime.” PR – MSNBC

ALEC and the NRA craft legislation without much debate but campaign money to push these bad laws on American Citizens….

  2. Clothes don’t make gangsters.  People’s attitudes make gangsters.

Clothes don’t hold guns.  People’s hands hold guns.

Clothes don’t make the decision to shoot.  People make the decision to shoot.

Geraldo and Bill O’Lielly look far more the gangsters in their hoodies than Trayvon Martin did in his.

And Santorum in his orange hoodie and shot gun, now there is a real gangster!

The Republican/Teabaggers and their Faux Noise propaganda machine sure know how to spin the story.  Too bad they spin lies instead of the truth.  Hypocritical idiots, the lot of them.

09/04/12 — Just had to share an advertisement that I just saw for Canada Post — it is offering grey hoodies for sale with a large postal cancellation stamp on the front.  I guess I shouldn’t wear one in Florida as somebody might cancel me permanently.

  3. Another case of WWB (walking while black). It’s disgusting. It shows how sick our society has become.

  4. The UofO Duck store and the Oregon State Beaver store had better quit selling hoodies. Somebody’ll come in and shoot half the student body. If there’s a football game, the tailgaters would be wiped out en masse.

  5. Classic : Blaming the Victim!!!!!!

  6. There’s a reason that lying gangster Rivera got his nose broken a few years back. Rash irresponsibility is not journalism!

    • Ahh, yes …
It brings back memories, not altogether unpleasant.

      • Hah!  Is that photo from the time he had skin grafted from his butt onto his face?  If so, I would like to request that this become his official photo on PP.

Ah, Geraldo, how far you have fallen.

  7. Geraldo thinks that just because he puts on glasses and a suit it makes him a journalist.

  8. Keep in mind that this case will be tried in Flori-duh, the land where the Casey Anthony jury couldn’t figure out what the heck she had actually done wrong.  I may be wrong, but I am betting that Zimmerman will walk, assuming this does even get to a courtroom.
