Santorum and Paul Cry Foul

Republicans are so deeply immersed in the meme of election fraud that now they are even accusing each other of cheating.  As far as I’m concerned, the more they fight among themselves, the better I like it.  It’s especially pathetic when it comes from Ron Paul, because he has not won a single contest.

13paul-and-santorumMitt Romney scored two minor but symbolically important victories on Saturday — a first-place finish in the CPAC Straw poll and a win in the Maine caucus — each of which set off accusations of foul play from the second place finisher.

In an appearance on CNN’s "State of the Union" on Sunday, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Pa.) suggested that Romney had doctored the results of the CPAC contest.

"I don’t try to rig straw polls," he said. "You have to talk to the Romney campaign and how many tickets they bought… We’ve heard all sorts of things."

Meanwhile, late Saturday night, Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) sent an email to supporters that essentially alleged collusion between the Romney campaign and the Maine Republican Party without actually mentioning Romney by name…

It’s the same old circus, because the same old clowns know no new tricks.

  1. Crap, is it me or does Ron Paul’s left eye look like it connected with a door knob?  And Santorum looks like a picture of Stan Laurel (minus the head scratching) when he was really befuddled.

The ‘also rans’ are always going to get all hot and bothered, crying foul in hopes that that will make a difference somehow.  But with this crop of ultra conservatives, nobody will be a winner, especially the American people.

Rmoney is a chopshopist and a control freak, after all that is how a chopshopist survives.

Santorum is so stiff that it is as if he has a pencil rammed up his butt such that it has blessed him with a pointed head.  Thank goodness he still has the rubber tip to keep him squared away.

Paul is a racist and bigotted old man that should retire.

Newty, he just needs to be newtered!  He has no grounding in reality, in fact I think he is half-way to the moon by now.

Having said that, the more they fight amongst themselves, the more energy that they waste internally, hopefully the better it will be for the Democrats in November 2012.

  2. I am enjoying the way they are wasting all their money on this primary.

Why couldn’t they create jobs with all that cash instead? Oh right! It’s because they’re RepublicanTs.

  3. If you have a lot of free time, find a Paul-supporting site and read the comment threads, they can be really entertaining.  His cultists are not only completely delusional (many are still convinced he’s going to be President) but increasingly wrapped up in paranoia — every time their man loses a state, it’s got to be some vast conspiracy of vote fraud by Romney, the Republican establishment, the media, sometimes the Jews….. I haven’t seen space aliens invoked yet, but I’m sure that’s coming.  “We must DEMAND that blah blah INVESTIGATE blah blah and expose the REAL truth…..”  I know they do this every four years, but Paul is 76 now and they probably know it’s his last shot.  Who knows how they’ll react when the nomination fight is done and Paul once again got nowhere?

I’m hoping the long primary fight combined with the right’s vote-fraud paranoia will create so much acrimony that their turn-out will be depressed in November.  Certainly the saner Republicans are worrying about that.

    • Infidel, I run into it every day at hub sites that I frequent.  “Ron Paul has never mattered and never will.” always gets a flurry of downvotes from the acolytes of his cult.

    • Look, I’m a European living in Norway, but was born in the Netherlands. And I love American politics, in fact I believe it’s one of the most important things in the world, because it directly affects Europe.

Anyway, I’ve been following it for over 10 years now and I’ve been in Awe with the stupidity for the American people. I’ve seen Bush elected, re-elected and then Obama elected. (I must say I was conned by Obama as well) but I’d like to think that the most 2 most important things in this world are history and personal liberty, because history tells us a lot of things. What actually happened the past years and how it affected us. Personal liberty speaks for itself.

I’ve seen America slide down a miserable slope of corporate power, 2 unique parties that are now no different from each other besides what their politicians say. Because as soon as either of the two gains power they get turned into a warmongering, world-controlling puppet. Obama is probably the best example for that!

It’s time America, for the sake of their country and more importantly the rest of the world to educate themselves. Stop watching their obvious corrupt “mainstream” media, stop trying to believe everything one man says without doing proper research and asking the right questions. Ask the right questions about your liberty, your freedom, your government.

Because all I see are a bunch of brainwashed, self-righteous, self-centered, over-religious people who take all this bullshit their corrupt government is pulling on them. It’s time you woke up and fight for your freedom!

Ron Paul, is the only true, honest, non-influential politician. Much like George Washington ( the first and only independent president of the U.S.) Yes of course the mainstream media is trying to block him out, laugh at him and declare him “delectable”, tell you he’s a racist with less then sustainable facts. Why do I know this? Because I did research and all I see is a good man, fighting for a good cause. I mean hell, he cares more about his message then he does getting elected!

But your problem is bigger then Ron Paul or the next presidential election. Because chances are Ron Paul will get assassinated (if he even gets elected!!) much like J.F.Kennedy who got killed right after he signed the executive order 11110. You, the people are the only ones who can change America back to a truly free and prosperous country.

All I ask, and many people around the world will agree with me here, is for America to wake up, educate themselves and stick together in these weird times. What the fuck did we get ourselves in now? Do something about it!

Sorry for the bad English, it’s not my first language, obviously.

      Peace!

      • Welcome Robbert. 🙂

I’m afraid I must disagree.  Ron Paul would return America to to Jim Crow by making discrimination a states’ right.  He would destroy the economy by returning to the gold standard, which almost destroyed the US in the early 1800’s.  He would destroy the safety net, and he would enable completely unrestrained vulture capitalism.  Assuming that you are sincere in what you say, I suggest learning much more about this misanthrope instead of believing his propaganda videos.

  4. These two are “Twin-Packing Pistol Petes” – they have the uncanny ability to shoot themselves in BOTH of their feet!

  5. ..and while the rest of the world laughs– President Obama continues to display  calm reasoned leadership in the face of the circus at the door–

It is appalling the money being thrown at the performing clowns—what in heavens name is the winner expected to deliver ?   I have in the past voted for republicans– but they were men with at least perceived integrity–not a one of these four has a shred of that , in fact i don’t believe a one of them could even say what it means to have “Integrity”

    ..while the world laughs ..!!!

  6. The opening statement of this article is so twisted against Republicans, that noting this site posts can be taken as true, honest, or factual.

    • Well, I suppose if I were to say that you are absolutely brilliant – at least THAT statement would prove your contention “that noting [sic] this site posts can be taken as true, honest or factual.”

    • The opening statement of this article is so twisted against Republicans

Oh, really?  That opening statement is:

Republicans are so deeply immersed in the meme of election fraud that now they are even accusing each other of cheating.

It is a factually-accurate statement that Republicans are “deeply immersed in the meme of election fraud”.  They’ve been using accusations of election fraud as a pretext to enact restrictive voter laws all over the country.  Everybody knows it’s a thinly-disguised revival of Jim Crow, but they have been using claims of election fraud as a pretext.

As for the statement “now they are even accusing each other of cheating”, this is also accurate — the post is about an example.

So, what exactly is it about the opening statement that is “so twisted”?

    • Well Charles, since Nameless and Infidel have already debunked what you had to say, I will just explain that you were offended that we tell the truth about Ron Paul here.

  7. It doesn’t matter whether you support Ron Paul or not. If you do even two seconds of research you’ll see that something’s not right up in Maine.

    • Welcome Colin. 🙂

I agree.  We’ve learned a lot more than wen knew when I wrote this and I have an article to post in about an hour that makes that very point.

  8. Before jumping to conclusions I strongly suggest you look into why Paul and Santorum are calling foul in Maine, even if you don’t support them. You will find indisputable evidence that voter fraud was committed in Maine. Maine is one of many states in which voter fraud was committed but this one has the most straightforward, obvious evidence so far. Watch this short video for a very clear understanding of what happened in Maine: http://youtu.be/cn8UN9taGwo
