Yesterday, I spent most of the day pre[paring to change computers next week, namely finding out how to change the license for each of the commercial programs I use.  I’m current on replies.  Today, I expect more of the same.

Jig Zone Puzzle:

Today it took me 4:16 (average 5:17).  To do it, click here.  How did you do?

Short Takes:

From Daily Kos: The House just passed the "Protect Life (Unless it’s a Woman’s) Act," 251-172. Fifteen Democrats voted with Republicans, two Republicans defected.

Rachel Maddow has more:

From Think Progress: A picture is worth a thousand words.

From Raw Story: The home state of Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) may contain the country’s largest population of college students, but Brown appears to have committed one of academia’s cardinal sins: plagiarism.

American Bridge 21st Century, a Super PAC associated with liberal causes, discovered that Brown’s website contained chunks of text taken verbatim from a campaign speech for Elizabeth Dole’s 2002 North Carolina Senate run, the transcript of which was posted to her website.

I suppose he’s just not bright enough to come up with his own material and just too dishonest not to steal someone else’s.  Go Warren ❗

Again, yesterday, I subjected myself to watching the debates in the House of Whores on the abortion rules. It was another exercise in futility. They know it will never pass in the Senate. Reid might not even bring it up for a vote.

  2. Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) just wanted to immitate a smart RepubliCON… so that really narrowed his scope to Elizabeth Dole. Plus he knew no RepubliCON TeaBagger would check a Woman’s page if it wasn’t Alaskan Barbie or Bible Belt Bachmann!

  3. Puzzle — well I was just over average at 5:28.  Not all that’s gold, glitters!

Does anybody doubt that the Republicans are obstructionists?  As Congresswoman Speier said, there are 20 days left in the House session and nothing of consequence has been accomplished.  The Republicans have brought up bills related to abortions and women’s rights to medical care over 7 times, the most recent having just been approved by the House, but yet to see Senate approval.  And Mr Obama says that he will veto it if it makes it to his desk.  Why this fixation that isn’t even on the list of priorities?  If you ask me, they are stalling so they can turn around and blame the President for not working with them.  But they still haven’t proposed any jobs related legislation and they say that is their priority.  I say, liar, liar, pants on fire!  It’s a priority for 48% of Americans but certainly not for the Republicans.  The US voters need to ABORT the Republicans!!!!!

My guess is, if the middle class Republicans were to see that the Republicans gave wealthy investors $13.5 billion in tax breaks on income from dividends while cutting $3.6 billion in Pell Grant funding which would like affect their children, they would be enraged, and rightfully so.  If the middle class Republicans were to see that the Republicans gave $38 billion in preferential tax treatment to heirs of millionaire estates while cutting $8.6 billion from the Affordable Care Act, they would be outraged and rightfully so.  But they will never know because they have been indoctrinated  by the likes of Faux Noise and that gas bag, Rush Limbaugh.

And Scott Brown, an employee did it?  Stand up and take responsibility like a man!  Listen weiner brain, use your own material — that requires you to use your brain which I doubt functions very well.  At least you had the sense to copy a woman!  Too bad you were exposed, eh!  You’d never see Elizabeth Warren do that — she has intelligence AND integrity!

The Cartoon —  I’d rather this said “Total Republican Support in 2012!” but that might be stretching it a bit.  Nice dream though!  It looks really hot, but not any flames for the bowels of hell where the Republican party belongs!
